Not everything we find on your vehicle needs to be fixed today.
And we think that's important for you to know.
When your vehicle comes to Nolens Garage, whether we're diagnosing and testing a specific problem or performing one of our inspection services, we don't want to look at only the one thing that brought you through the door and send you on your way without knowing the condition of the rest of the vehicle.
That's one reason our courtesy inspection process is an important part of what we do.
While we're addressing the concern you brought the vehicle in for, we're also looking for things that may affect its safety, reliability, maintenance, or future repair needs.
But finding something doesn't automatically mean it needs to be repaired today.
There is a big difference between:
🔴 This needs attention now.
🟡 This is starting to wear and should be planned for.
🟢 This looks good — no action needed.
Sometimes we'll find something that affects safety or could leave you stranded.
Sometimes we'll find maintenance or wear that you should start planning for.
And sometimes we'll inspect something and tell you:
“You're good. You don't need that yet.”
That's the point of a good inspection.
It's not about creating the biggest repair bill possible.
It's about giving you an accurate picture of your vehicle, documenting what we find, and helping you understand what needs attention now, what should be planned for, and what can wait.
We also offer paid inspection services when a vehicle or concern requires a more detailed level of inspection and testing.
Whether we're diagnosing a problem, performing a paid inspection, or completing our courtesy inspection, our goal is the same:
Give you good information so you can make an informed decision about your vehicle.
Because taking care of your vehicle doesn't always mean doing everything at once.
Sometimes it simply means knowing where you stand and having a plan.
