Welp. When you can’t go catching because of the weather you have to improvise. Cook what ya catch. Fresh red snapper filet pan seared in a lemon butter sauce topped with some parm over angel hair pasta with a side of Patate douce soaked in butta with an ice cold Coke Zero. Dilly Dilly and Full belly.

Had Jesse back onboard this morning with his neighbors Ike and Abram. I hadn’t trout fished since before the tournament last week so kinda took a shot in the dark. Headed out and reached the spot and before the first cast hit the water the fish were on. Made a great run of them early and made a couple more moves to finish off the mornings limits. Fish were caught on live hoppers from G&R Live Baits Marker 54 jerk shrimp (they fancied the pink jerk shrimp) and Four Horsemen Tackle poppa corks. Had a great time catching with these guys. Dilly Dilly and Got’em again.

Well the winds were down and nothing on my schedule today so you know what that meant. Went drop some lead offshore. The fish cooperated and going to be mighty tasty. Caught a nice 34” cobia short by 2 and a 22” trigger fish, season closed. Tried for mangroves but didn’t see or hook any. Neighbor Steve tagged along for the venture into the Gulf of America. Dilly Dilly. Got’em again.

It was a great turnout and a fabulous tournament in spite of the weather report. Winds were up but we were busy at the weigh in table. The redfish category was heavy and the trout category was on the lite side due to the winds but you persevered. Thank you to all who fished, and those that sponsored, donated raffle prizes and auction items and helped tournament day and especially the cooks. Day 3 and final day with Joe and Maxon. Weather man said we could sneak in one more trip before the winds pick up for a day or two and that’s exactly what we did. It was one stop again this morning and the trout took an ice bath ride in. Time to get in full gear for the tournament this Saturday. Fish were caught on live shrimps from G&R Live Baits , Marker 54 jerk shrimp under a Four Horsemen Tackle popper. As usual Dilly Dilly and Got’em.

Day 2 with Joe and Maxon. One stop shopping this morning with rain in the vicinity. Made quick dispatch of the spotted ones. A school of bulls passed through and shut the bite down but after a few minutes it was on again and finished for the morning. You know it’s a good day when the fish come in the boat pre-stuffed with 16 count jumbos. Maxon rode the bull this morning. Dilly Dilly.

Joe and Maxon came in yesterday for their yearly tournament week fishing vacation. Winds were up a little more than expected this morning so we bounced around for a little while. Had to w**d through a bunch of smalls but put together a nice box of the spotted ones. Live shrimp and marker 54 did the catching this morning. Dilly Dilly. Get some.

Four long time high school friends came on board this morning to do some catching. Winds were down again today which made for a pleasant ride. Steven, Dennis, John and Big Mike were all game game for the day. From first cast to last a blast was had by these 4 guys and the big girls showed up to support them. Fish were caught on live shrimp from G&R Live Baits, Marker 54 jerk shrimp under a Four Horsemen Tackle popping cork. That’s two days in a row the winds cooperated. Dilly Dilly and Got’em again.
