If your RV is going to sit for a while, there are a few things you need to do before you park it for the season.
✅ Empty and clean the refrigerator, then leave the doors cracked so moisture and odors don’t build up.
✅ Drain the water system and take the proper steps to protect the plumbing for the temperatures where the RV will be stored.
✅ Check the batteries and make a plan to keep them properly maintained while the RV sits.
It’s also a good time to check for leaks, inspect seals, and make sure there aren’t any issues you’ll be leaving unattended for the next few months.
The goal is simple: put your RV away properly so you’re not coming back to problems when you’re ready to travel again.

For our third Fall RV Care Month reminder, take a walk around the outside of your RV.
After a Louisiana summer full of heat, humidity, rain, and plenty of road grime, give it a good wash and pay attention to what you find underneath. Check around the roof seams, windows, and doors for seals that are cracking, separating, or starting to look questionable.
Water has a way of finding the smallest opening, and we’d much rather help you address an exterior or roof concern before it turns into water damage inside your RV.

We install a lot of generator exhaust vent systems this time of year for our tailgaters. The system routes your generator exhaust above the RV roofline instead of releasing it down where everyone is hanging out, which is especially important when RVs are parked close together.

After a long Louisiana summer, your RV is due for a good once-over. Tire pressure, tread, sidewalls, brakes, and wheel bearings should all be part of getting ready for fall travel. And if you’re heading somewhere cooler, remember that temperature changes can affect your tire pressure along the way.
