Do You Know When to Change Your Car’s Fluids?
Keeping your vehicle’s fluids fresh is key to long-lasting performance and avoiding costly repairs. Here’s a quick guide to when you should replace each essential fluid:
1. Transmission Fluid
Change every 40,000–60,000 km, depending on your transmission type and driving style. Rough shifting or unusual sounds? Time for a check!
2. Engine Oil
Change every 5,000–10,000 km, based on whether it’s mineral, semi-synthetic, or fully synthetic. Check your dipstick regularly to prevent engine wear.
3. Differential Oil
Important for rear-wheel and 4x4 vehicles. Replace every 50,000–100,000 km or as recommended in your manual.
4. Brake Fluid
Change every 2 years, regardless of mileage. It absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce braking efficiency.
5. Windshield Washer Fluid
No set schedule—just refill when low. Use proper washer fluid to avoid clogging or freezing.
6. Coolant / Antifreeze
Flush and replace every 2 to 5 years, depending on coolant type and usage. Essential to prevent engine overheating.
Fresh fluids = Smooth rides + Less trouble.
Stay proactive and keep your car running like new!
