Brand new Jeep Wrangler — and it left our care protected the way it should have left the dealership.
3 year ceramic coating applied to the paint and we went a step further with Solution Finish on every piece of black plastic trim. Jeep Wranglers are known for that bold black trim and it is also one of the first things to fade and grey out from UV exposure without proper protection. Solution Finish penetrates the plastic and protects it from the inside out — keeping it looking deep and dark the way it does right now.

The complaint was a musty smell. The moisture test told the whole story.
Before any cleaning started we tested the carpets for moisture — and found it. Moisture trapped in carpet is one of the most common and most overlooked sources of that persistent musty smell that air fresheners and surface cleans never actually fix. You can mask it temporarily but until the contamination in the carpet is removed the smell comes back every time.
Chemical treatment was applied to the affected areas to break down the contamination sitting in the fibers. Then full extraction to pull everything out — the moisture, the chemical, and the source of the smell along with it.
This is the difference between treating a symptom and fixing the actual problem. A deodorizer is not a solution. Finding the source and removing it is 🫧

Headlight restoration — second time on these, and this time we addressed the root of the problem.
We did these headlights last November. Less than a year later they were starting to yellow again. That is the reality of a wipe on clear coat finish — it is a temporary solution that buys time but does not protect the lens long term against UV exposure and environmental oxidation.
This time we came back, polished out the sanding marks to restore proper optical clarity in the lens, and protected them with a 3 year ceramic coating.
Polishing the lens instead of relying on a wipe on clear produces a fundamentally better result. The clarity is deeper, the finish is cleaner, and the ceramic coating gives the lens real long term UV protection instead of a surface layer that breaks down in months.
The right process from the start saves you from doing it twice 🫧

The outside got a two step paint correction and ceramic coating last visit. This time it was all about the interior.
Before walkthrough first — so you can see exactly what we were dealing with. Then the steam cleaning process on a particularly bad area — steam to open up the fibers and break down what is bonded in, chemical treatment to target the contamination, and extraction to pull it all out of the upholstery.
Then the results.
This is what a proper interior deep clean looks like when all three tools are working together correctly. Steam alone does not do what steam plus chemistry plus extraction does. Each step builds on the last and the upholstery at the end reflects that.
The paint is corrected, coated, and protected. The interior is clean and extracted. This vehicle is now taken care of inside and out 🫧

Two after videos today — two clients, two different stories, same standard across the board.
The first is a VIP client who had their trim restored and coated at the last visit. They reached out to say they are loving the results — and looking at the vehicle it is easy to see why. Properly restored and coated trim changes the entire presence of a vehicle. It ties everything together in a way that paint alone never does.
The second is a long time client’s maintenance detail. This is what years of consistent professional care looks like on a vehicle. No dramatic before needed — because we have never let it get there. Just clean, protected, and maintained exactly the way it should be visit after visit 🫧

Level 2 Caldwell Select Detail reset — before and after and the results are exactly what we came for.
This one had overspray and surface contaminants bonded to the paint that a standard wash was never going to touch. Clay bar treatment came in and pulled everything off cleanly — overspray, bonded contamination, all of it. Then the Level 2 Detail took the paint the rest of the way to where it needed to be.
The word reset is exactly right for what this service does. We are not just cleaning the surface — we are stripping away everything that does not belong there and starting fresh from the paint out.
Everything came off. The car looks fantastic. The paint underneath the contamination had been there waiting the whole time 🫧

1 PPM off the DI filter — and this is why it matters.
PPM is parts per million. It measures the dissolved minerals in water. Tap water depending on your area can run anywhere from 100 to 400 PPM or higher. At those levels every rinse leaves behind invisible mineral deposits that dry into water spots on your paint.
Our deionized water is running at 1 PPM. Virtually pure water. When it hits your paint and dries there is nothing left behind — no spots, no streaks, no mineral residue bonding to the surface.
The rinse is not just the last step. It is one of the most important steps. And the water quality behind it is something most people never think about — but we think about it on every single job 🫧

Well well well… Home Depot finally showed up 😂
Around 7pm. The trench has been sitting there all day just waiting. Materials are here now and the underground gutter drain line project is back in business — just picking it back up another day.
Better late than never I guess 📦⛏️

Weekend home project — underground drain line for the roof gutters.
First video is walking the marked out path. Second is the first trench dig. Still needs to be refined but the hard part is started and the vision is clear.
There’s something satisfying about doing the work yourself — planning it out, marking it, digging it, and watching the progress happen in real time. Same mindset that goes into everything else 🔧
The trench doesn’t refine itself though. Back to work 😂

A little peek into the personal side today — no detail rags, just tools.
Cylinders one and three were misfiring on the personal Jeep. Swapped out the coil packs and spark plugs and cleared the check engine light myself. Running clean.
Not every post is going to be about clean paint and ceramic coatings. Sometimes it’s just a guy who loves working on vehicles doing what he does on his own time 🔧
The passion for cars doesn’t clock out when the workday ends.
