Going fast is easy. But as your driving progresses, safety needs to progress with it.
For many Tesla owners, a stock interior and factory three-point belt are perfectly appropriate for enjoying a track day. As you move toward faster lap times, Time Attack, and competition-level driving, the demands on the driver environment begin to change.
Our Model 3 racing safety lineup was developed with that progression in mind.
The Bolt-In 4 Point Harness Bar System provides an engineered mounting solution for racing harnesses while retaining rear visibility, full driver-seat travel, and the factory interior. Its removable design also allows rear-seat access to be restored outside of track use.
Pair it with the Ascension-R Carbon Fiber Racing Bucket Seat, which uses a lightweight carbon shell and deep bolstering to hold the driver securely through braking and cornering forces. Keeping the driver properly supported also means less effort spent bracing against the car and more attention available for precise inputs.
The UP x Willans 6-Point Racing Harness adds a competition-oriented restraint system featuring 3-inch shoulder belts, 2-inch lower straps, a rotary Camlock buckle, and Silverstone alloy adjusters.
These components can serve individual purposes, but at higher levels of competition, how they interact becomes increasingly important. Seating position, belt routing, mounting geometry, ergonomics, and vehicle packaging all have to be considered together.
You don’t need all of this equipment to start driving your Tesla on track. When your build and driving reach the point where serious restraint equipment becomes appropriate, however, it deserves the same engineering attention as suspension, brakes, tires, and aero.
Build the car to go faster. Build the driver environment to match.
