⛽ Regular, Mid-Grade, or Premium: Which Fuel Should You Choose? 🚗
Standing at the pump wondering if premium fuel is worth the extra cost? You’re not alone!
Here’s the simple answer:
✅ Use the octane rating recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer.
For most vehicles, regular 87-octane fuel is exactly what the engine was designed to use. Paying extra for premium fuel won’t typically improve fuel economy, performance, or engine life if your vehicle doesn’t require it.
However, some vehicles are designed to run on higher-octane fuel and may experience reduced performance or fuel economy when using lower grades.
Fuel-Saving Tip:
Don’t spend extra on premium fuel unless your owner’s manual recommends or requires it. Put those savings toward regular maintenance instead—it will do far more to extend the life of your vehicle.
