This 1996 Honda Accord Automatic has gotten a fresh set of brand new Kenwood KFC-1666S 6-1/2 flush mount speakers installed in the front doors this morning 8/30/2026. Passenger door speaker was blown, the driver door speaker was missing when we took the door panel off. No speaker quick adapters were used, so we connected the speakers straight into the original car speaker harness. This set of speakers are powered by a Sony Bluetooth car radio (not pictured), so we don’t need a radio for this car at this time. The Sony Bluetooth stereo was installed by the previous owners, and we checked the wiring while we were in here and everything checked out perfectly, everything was wired properly exactly how it should be. We will do the rear trunk speaker install in a couple of weeks, we did not have any 6x9 speaker sets available today. The Kenwood speakers were installed back onto the factory door brackets where the original speakers originally were on, that’ll keep the back magnets of the Kenwood speakers from hitting the door window glass. 6-1/2 Flush mount car speakers like these are much recommended if you plan on tackling this job yourself if you own the same vehicle (1994-1997 Accord Sedan / Coupe)
Our original plan was, wait one more week for the second rear set of speakers to arrive and install all 4 speakers on the same day, then plans changed, today while we were servicing the speakers, the customer ended up getting the car up and running back on the road ready for work tomorrow so they went ahead with having us put in these speakers today so they can have some tunes to and back from work daily. and the back speakers can definitely wait another day.
Before and after the speaker installation, All electronics works except for the cigarette lighter and the clock on the dash above the radio, we were unsuccessful with getting both working after replacing / swapping fuses, so something is shorting the cigarette lighter and the original dash clock so we’ll recommend an electrician to look into that at a later date so we left the broken electronics alone after swapping fuses were unsuccessful.

Kenwood KFC-1666S 6-1/2 Inch Flush Mount Sport series speakers.
Required for installation but not needed; or connect straight to car’s original wiring like we did there. We didn’t have any available on hand due to a short notice of last minute installation needed.

We have posted the speaker color diagram if you own the same kind of car and would like to tackle the job yourself - AND DO NOT CUT THE ORIGINAL RADIO ADAPTER PLUG: spend the extra $10 on the aftermarket radio adapter.
This installation will be the same for all 1994 to 1997 Accord LX, DX, EX 4 door sedan and 2 door coupe models. If you have any questions about this install or need any further information/assistance dont hesitate to reach out.
