Here's another tech tip: purchase a clear attachment with it's own gate. This will eliminate any surprises when up stream gate valve gaskets fail. That is the 1st attachment to the waste pipe, followed by another clear, curved attachment with a back flow tank flush. (My rig does not have an on board black tank flush.) The gated attachment stays on the RV, while the curved tank flush attachment is put on when camping.

Had a call regarding the water heater not staying hot long enough. Electric heat element was shot.(2013 Atwood) Noticed wetness in the carpet next to the water heater, and water damage to the wood cabinetry. Opened the drain plug, brown water came out. Told the customer he needed a new water heater.
Pulled the old water heater out, the entire area was soaking wet. The hot water he was getting was from the hose laying in the sun! I'll be installing new w.h. on Thursday, hoping that area will be dry by then!

Was working on an AC issue for a customer today. Complaint was the bedroom AC was shutting off before the T-stat was satisfied. This was a Dometic Blizzard. Capacitors and compressor checked good. Freeze sense showed zero continuity. Replaced freeze sense, asked customer to turn breaker back on. No 120! Went to the breaker panel, 1 leg of the 50 amp breaker had zero voltage. Went to the pedestal, 1 leg showed 118 vac, the other leg showed 0 vac. Park will replace breaker and outlet at pedestal.
*You never know what you're walking into in the "wild"!!!
