Good evening everyone. Just wanted to reflect on what a great turnout we had Saturday for our first annual car show. I’m going out on a limb and saying it was a great success! Is there stuff to improve on? Of course. In every event there is always something to improve on. But to get this much support in our first ever show? I was blown away! I want to extend my biggest thank you to each and every one of you who showed up to support my family and I. My grandpa was blown away and haven’t ever seen him that involved in something in quite a while. With that all being said there is a long list of people I need to extend it to a little farther.

Dave Grossklaus and Dave Bancroft from Rusty Nutz Car Club. These 2 gentlemen reached out immediately to lend a helping hand. They absolutely were a huge help with everything on Saturday as well. What a great relationship to have with these guys!

John Holmstrom. He was also onboard from the beginning. He did so much of the footwork to please the city of crest hill. He even donated the bathrooms! He and grandpa go way back.

My entire family. They showed up and showed out for sure. My Wife, My Mom, Aunt Sarah, Cousins Emily and Kaylyn! Could not of done Saturday without them. They handled 98% of everything so I could somewhat relax.

Danny Brandalino with the American Italian Cultural Society. They were a huge supporter in this and I am very glad they were a part of it. They served food and drinks and allowed us to use their lot. I heard a lot of great things about the food! Thank you to everyone who supported them in supporting us.

Ron Vandermeir Sr for being our awesome Dj on such short notice. It was great to have music and a place to do our awards!

Chris Goodaker with Goodaker Photography. They stepped up with a super late in the game ask. Those guys took about 900 photos! I will have them shortly to share with everyone. All around great people!

Mike Glenn with VRS Realty. He sent us some reinforcements for the rush on Saturday! Couldn’t ask for a better friend. Thank you to you and your team for the support.

Thank you to those who helped us with our trophies. Advanced Powder Coatings and R1 graphix. I think our trophies were one of the cooler ones I’ve seen. But I may be biased some.

Rough donation number is around $2200 to the Alzheimer’s Awareness foundation!! That is absolutely insane! I know that Alzheimer’s is near and dear to all of our hearts, so to have this big of a donation is awesome. 

Our 50/50 was around $1700! Don Votick won that and donated half of his half back to the charity. Kudos to him.

We are already working on next year’s show! So I hope we can increase our number of roughly 150 cars, trucks and bikes to maybe 200? Each and everyone of you were awesome. Thank you for coming out!

** Update. Super huge thank you to Cory Lelak as well. I knew I was forgetting someone. Been a hectic few days after the show. Don’t hate me! He was a huge help with just about everything Saturday.

Here at Sontag Speed Supplies we are running a special on prescription glasses! Seems recently a lot of people cannot seem to see from the spotter stand. Just wanna help them people out. Hit us up if you think someone’s spotter needs glasses!
