For some of us, a car is never just a car.

We sponsored the Marietta Driving for Drama Benefit Car Show this year and one of the most meaningful moments came after the show — when one of our trophy winners stopped by our Ford showroom to share the story behind their car.

Their Mustang took home a trophy, but what makes it special has nothing to do with just a beautiful paint job or horsepower. It's a memorial — dedicated to their son, a veteran who passed away years ago. His photo rides in the back seat alongside an American flag, a quiet tribute on every drive. Before they left, they gave our team a plaque to mark the moment — a gesture we won't forget and one you will find hanging on our wall in the showroom.

Cars get us from point A to point B, but sometimes they carry something bigger. For this family, that Mustang keeps their son close, mile after mile.

To the family who shared this with us: thank you for your son's service, and for trusting us with his story!
