Our facility is spacious, over 22 acres, to allow for the practice and perfection of backing maneuvers and other skills. To accommodate the busy lives of our students, we offer day classes and evening classes in the Spring, Summer, and early Fall. We offer student housing assistance for students who live over 60 miles from the school, and after graduation, we provide job placement assistance with on-site recruiters ready to hire qualified candidates. In addition to truck driving training, Great Lakes Truck Driving School offers heavy equipment training and crane training as well. From forklifts to platform lifts, their heavy equipment operators will share our experience and knowledge with you to give you the skills you need to safely and effectively operate a variety of heavy equipment. We are equipped with a training area resembling a construction site where students will learn and practice safety, job site setup, laying pipe, and loading equipment. 🚨 GREAT LAKES TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL UPDATE 🚨

We wanted to provide everyone with an update regarding our closure following the severe storm damage.

We remain temporarily shut down while cleanup, repairs, and inspections continue. The good news is that we are making steady progress every day and are hopeful that we will be able to reopen soon.

**NO TRAINING OR CDL TESTING WEDNESDAY 17TH**

We understand the disruption this has caused and appreciate the patience and support of our students, staff, and community. We are continuing to work on plans to keep training moving forward and will communicate directly with students regarding any schedule adjustments.

As soon as we receive clearance to reopen, we will announce it here and contact students with updated training and testing information.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to getting everyone back on the road as soon as possible.

🚨IMPORTANT NOTICE – GREAT LAKES TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL🚨

Due to the severe storm that impacted our area on Sunday, Great Lakes Truck Driving School will be closed until further notice.

The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Training will resume once our facility has been inspected and cleared to reopen.

We will be contacting each student individually to discuss their training schedule and develop a plan moving forward. To minimize disruptions, we may be able to temporarily redirect some range and road training activities to our Canton facility while repairs and assessments are completed.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this challenging time. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
