Today there was an event none of us will forget. This was a joint effort between Woodmen Nissan, South Colorado Springs Nissan, Military Warriors, and Wells Fargo to do something special for a deserving member of our community. Blake Harris, a U.S. Army Sergeant, was killed in action in March 2007. His wife, Joanna Harris, lives in our community. The Military Warriors Support Foundation has assisted Joanna in many ways over the years. Joanna needed transportation. She did not have a vehicle, so when we all were presented with an opportunity to step forward to help her and her family, we did not hesitate. Transportation4Heroes is a program that allowed her to get a vehicle for free. We are thrilled to be a part of this vehicle donation to Joanna Harris. Today she received a new 2025 Nissan Kicks! Everyone from Joanna and her family, the mayor of Fountain, our store owner - Jay Carley, and all others present were all honored to see this car go someone so deserving. There wasn’t a dry eye in the group. We hope Joanna will enjoy this new vehicle for a long time. We care very much.
