Dave and Deb had one of those rare perfect days out on the water today! They both took turns maneuvering and pulling alongside the T-head, making it look easy and handling the boat with confidence. ☀️

To finish off the day, Deb took on the challenge of docking Seas Get Degrees back at Schaeffer’s Canal House with the current working against her. She stayed calm, trusted her skills, and brought her in like a pro. It’s been great watching both of them grow their confidence at the helm. Great job, Deb! ⚓️

During their level 1 class aboard Seas Get Degrees — Rochelle, Brent, and Elliot tackled wind and current practicing docking maneuvers. Everyone successfully docked on a T-head, and shoutout Rochelle docking the boat into a slip at Schaefer’s with confidence.👏🏼

☀️ Gorgeous day on the water with Captain Lauren and student Kim! From docking practice in shifting winds to navigating the Sassafras using channel markers, this lesson was packed with real on the water experience. Once the wind settled, Kim also got to practice anchoring and enjoy some beautiful time out on the river. 🌊

Every lesson is hands-on, confidence building and tailored to help students feel more comfortable behind the helm in real boating conditions. Our captains are here to help you learn while still having fun out on the water!

⭐️Private Lesson Spotlight⭐️

Captain Lauren’s lesson with Robyn and Donald this past weekend went great. Even with windy conditions, these first time boaters crushed it!

During their lesson, they practiced docking alongside, backing into a slip, anchoring, and open water navigation — gaining real hands on experience out on the water.
