Our boy is about to turn 16 and I powder coated these wheels that I had for him. I let him pick the color and he chose Triple Bronze with Fog Clear.

Your freshly powder coated wheels are never going to look as good or be as clean as they are when you get them back. Take 30 minutes and apply a nice quality coat of wax on the face and the barrel. This will help to keep dirt and brake dust from sticking to your wheels. You can go to the next level and apply a ceramic coating.

The guys at Loves Park Motorsports have been good to me over the years. They've sent customers, repair/insurance work and even personal stuff to me for powder and ceramic coating. They help me out whenever I need anything for my snowmobiles as well. As a thank you I made these cups for them.

Just finished up this redo for a customer who had this valve cover powder coated at another local shop. The first 2 pictures are my work and the rest are from the other guy. At first glance they look about the same. But look closely at the other guy's work and some issues appear. 1st the flat areas on the top side had powder coat on them and they were cleaned off with a sanding wheel which can cause leaks. Now look at the inside of the cover and notice all of the powder on the inside. This is unacceptable as the hot oil will eventually cause that powder to come off and go through the motor. You're asking for an engine failure and the customer knew that. When he brought it up to the guy and he was told to "run it, you'll be fine."
