⚡🌊 SALTWATER & ELECTRICITY: A DANGEROUS COMBINATION!

Your boat lift or dock lights may still work, but are they safe?

Following this weekend’s nor’easter, we want to remind all waterfront property owners about the potential dangers of saltwater exposure to electrical equipment.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL SAFETY REMINDER!

If saltwater came into contact with your dock or boat lift’s electrical equipment:

🔸 TURN OFF THE POWER at a safe, dry location. If you cannot safely access the breaker, contact a licensed electrician.

🔸 If saltwater entered electrical boxes, motors, wiring or conduit, have a licensed electrician inspect the system BEFORE restoring power.

🔸 JUST BECAUSE IT WORKS DOESN’T MEAN IT’S SAFE!

Saltwater can cause corrosion and hidden electrical damage. Your equipment may operate perfectly fine today but develop dangerous electrical problems weeks or months down the road.

Don’t wait for something to fail before addressing potential damage.

Protect your family, your investment and everyone enjoying your waterfront property.

⚡️ ⚠️ IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL SAFETY REMINDER!

If saltwater came into contact with your dock or boat lift’s electrical equipment, TURN OFF THE POWER if you can safely do so.

If saltwater entered electrical boxes or conduit, contact a licensed electrician to inspect the system before turning the power back on.

Just because everything still works DOES NOT mean it’s safe! Saltwater can cause corrosion and hidden electrical damage that may lead to serious problems down the road.

Never assume your electrical system is safe simply because it’s functioning.
