KUMAS DNA RESULTS ARE IN!!
She is a full blooded Rott. So many full blooded animals end up in shelters. Please don’t pay for expensive dogs. I promise the shelters have great options. So many bred dogs end up there.

It’s always fun handing out candy during the downtown trick or treat event. We love seeing all the costumes. Thanks to Zoie for joining us this year and to all the families who came out tonight.

We adopted Kuma a few months ago from Dekalb Humane Society. Today we send off her DNA to determine what her breed and health reveal. Any guesses and to what breeds you think she is??

The fair parade is one of our favorite community events every year. We took 1st place this year and I’m so proud of the guys for their hard work decorating and giving up their Saturday for the parade. This year Jeff Suttle really came up with the decorating scheme and Robert Nichols and Aaron Houser helped execute. Our town has a pretty amazing parade and I’m appreciative of the effort you put in.

It’s almost time to dig out those costumes, carve some pumpkins, practice your best spooky voice, and—most importantly— trick or treat!

And this year, we’re making it a little safer for our little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses, and professional candy collectors! 👻🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️🍬

🚧 Roads around the courthouse will be CLOSED to traffic so families can safely walk from business to business.

🛑 Main Street — 7th to 9th
🛑 Cedar Street — 7th to 9th
🛑 9th Street — Main to Cedar

But WAIT… the Halloween fun isn’t over yet! 👀🎃

Yes, we know October 30th isn’t technically Halloween. 😉 But we LOVE partnering with our downtown businesses to make it ONE BIG NIGHT OF HALLOWEEN FUN! 🎃👻

Basically, it’s the Halloween Weekend Warm-Up! 🎉

🍬 6–8: Citywide
👻 Saturday: Trick-or-treat somewhere else in the DeKalb community…
🎬 OR put on a fun or spooky Halloween movie, grab some popcorn, and start working your way through that candy stash! 🍬🍫😂🎃
