What started as a new dodger in the spring turned into a full canvas upgrade!

A new bimini, an improved aft extension, and a full enclosure that actually includes the helms! They're all set to head south for the winter! ⛵️

A new approach to solar panel attachments! ☀️

I've never loved the traditional zipper attachment for flexible solar panels, so I decided to experiment with sewable track instead. And I have to say, I'm a fan!

Island Packet refit, part two! ⛵️

From installing the new frame to templating, cutting, sewing, and fitting the three piece bimini, this project is really starting to come together!

Up next, enclosure panels and cushions, but it's exciting to see the transformation taking shape!

Another productive Sunday getting the second sewing machine situated!

Six months ago, I took a pretty big leap. Now there are two machines, two sets of hands, and a whole lot more canvas to sew. 🤍

So grateful for how quickly this little business is growing.

Join me on this journey!

I’m refitting an Island Packet 445, where we’re forgoing the dodger, adding a brand-new taller frame, fabricating a large three-piece bimini, a full 12-panel enclosure, and new cockpit cushions.

This is a big one. Let’s get to work. 🤙

There's always a combination of relief and pride when finishing a project, so very happy with how this one turned out.
