One Year at the New Shop
One year ago, I opened the doors to the new Dub Haus Automotive shop, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for everything that has happened since.
What started in my garage back in 2022 has turned into something I never could have imagined. I never thought that working out of my garage would eventually lead me here — to my own shop, a building, multiple lifts, an incredible customer base, and more work than I could have ever dreamed of.
From day one, this place has stayed busy. I’ve been blessed beyond what I could have imagined, and I owe a huge thank you to every customer who has trusted me with their vehicle, stuck with me through the wait times, and continued to support me as this business has grown. I truly don’t take that for granted.
For most of this journey, I’ve been a one-man band — wearing just about every hat in the shop. Technician, service advisor, parts guy, estimator, cleaner, business owner… you name it. 😂
As exhausting as that has been at times, I honestly believe it was necessary. Doing everything myself has allowed me to learn every detail of how I want this shop to operate and, more importantly, what kind of experience I want to provide to my customers.
The last few years have definitely come with a lot of lessons, some extremely long days, and even some burnout. But after a year in this shop, I can say with 100% certainty that I’m all in.
The goal now is growth.
I’m adding another master-level Volkswagen technician to the Dub Haus team and planning to add a few more lifts so we can get through the workload faster and continue taking care of the Big Country the way our customers deserve.
I couldn’t be more blessed to have built a shop that has been full of work since the day I opened the doors.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Dub Haus Automotive, recommended us to your friends and family, waited patiently when we were slammed, and trusted us with your cars. You’ve allowed me to turn something that started in my garage in 2022 into something I’m incredibly proud of today.
One year in the new shop. Four years since I started this journey.
And we’re just getting started.
Here’s to continuing to grow, continuing to learn, and continuing to serve Abilene and the Big Country for many years to come.
Thank you. Seriously. GOD BLESS! 🙏🇺🇸
