Another Local Legend doing some amazing work. Thank you Julie 👏

When Julie Marriott was matched with her current Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nelson-Tasman (BBBS) buddy, Jay was seven years old. Nearly six years later, Julie is still there. It is that consistency that BBBS Nelson-Tasman Practice Lead Lyndsey Wylie says makes Julie such a special mentor.

Congratulations to Julie Marriot, September's Nelson Auto Glass Specialists Ltd local legend!

Hundreds of volunteer hours, countless supporters and one simple goal have helped turn Kids N Rigs into one of the region's most anticipated family events.

This month's Local Legends feature recognises the dedicated organising team behind the free community truck show, whose passion has created a day of fun for families and raising thousands of dollars for deserving local causes.

☔️ If the last few days have shown us anything, it’s that dodgy wipers are NOT something that you want in the middle of a downpour.

🎉Good news though - this winter, when you book your windscreen replacement with us, we’ll throw in a free set of windscreen wiper blades.

Give us a call or pop in and see the team at 84 Vanguard St.

Have a read of how Gillian and Bill are contributing to the amazing trails in our region. Or better yet, get the bikes out and test them out yourself 🚴

What a privilege to meet Brian last week. Just another Legend doing some amazing things in our community. Check out his story 👇

🌟 March's Nelson Auto Glass Local Legend: Brian McIntyre 🌟

For nearly 50 years, Brian has been the quiet force behind countless community projects — from helping build Nelson’s first adventure playground, to 11 years volunteering at Green Gables, to restoring 3,600+ graves at Wakapuaka Cemetery.

He’s also crafted more than 18,000 ANZAC-style poppies, honouring everyday people who shaped our history.

Brian never seeks recognition — but his impact is felt across generations.
