Please be advised the garage will close at 1:30pm this Wednesday as a mark of respect for the loss of a very close member of our family. Keith's mother in law, Martha Power passed away over the weekend surrounded by family. Martha as many will know was the kindest soul you could meet and her whole life evolved around selfless acts for others. She leaves many friends and family broken hearted but glad that we were lucky to have known such a great person. Ford wet belt (timing belt in oil) in getting sorted recently. Wet belts are found in a number of engines, this particular one was on a Ford Transit diesel. All cleaned up, inspected, new parts installed snd back on the road.

This Renault had a close call. The chain had completely eaten through one of the guides. It had quite an audible rattle. If your engine is noisey, especially on start up you'd be best get it checked before the pistons introduce themselves to the valves (or in layman's terms: big bang no drivey!)

More AC fun today! The oil we use in the system has a dye in it so if develops a leak its a bit easier to find using a black light (as seen in the pic) We all love a bit of fresh air but when its as hot as it is now you must admit its nice to close up the window and flick on the air conditioning. This vehicle us nice n cool now ready for a sunny road trip.

Time saving tip.....If you have a crap work ethic, everything is a problem and someone else's fault then don't bother with this post😬
We are currently seeking applications from experienced mechanics and 3rd/ 4th year apprentices! Hard to sum up all we do in one post but I can tell you will never hear us say we are bored or the work is getting repetitive. So it may suit you if you have a positive attitude, like to find solutions and use your initiative, want variety in your work, want to give and take as part of a team, would like to gain new qualifications and upskill, in a supportive enviroment, if you can have the craic with the rest of your team all while we look after our customers. Hi folks, hope you're all enjoying that sunshine. Just a quick update, our schedule is really busy with diagnostic work, specialist repairs, trade work and classic cars. I have to close my own schedule for the minute whilst I deal with these and breakdowns that come in. We have no great issue getting service work, general maintenance/ repairs and NCT repairs done in a timely fashion but there is a lot of catch up to play on the other stuff. This is why if you ring for diagnostic work or more technical/ in depth work or classic cars repairs at the minute there is a longer lead time than usual. As you may know we are trying to recruit more staff to help us deal with this so please bear with us for now. And I also apologise for my lack communication with people at the minute, I am trying to keep my head in the workshop and let our excellent front of house deal team with queries but some do have to come through me and there is a delay there. I thank you all for your continued support and wish you all an excellent bank holiday weekend.
