Ever wonder what’s actually happening when you spot one of our trucks on the road? 🚜💨

While you see our fleet out and about every day, our main work happens deep behind the scenes to keep commercial facilities, local businesses, and sites running smoothly.

Here is a quick look at how we keep things moving:
• CCTV Drain Surveys: Deploying high-definition crawler cameras to find underground issues with absolute precision—no digging required!
• High-Pressure Jetting: Clearing heavy blockages and scale buildup to prevent site flooding and unscheduled downtime.
• Liquid Waste Management: Fast, safe, and fully compliant extraction and disposal for industrial and commercial sectors.
• Interceptor & Grease Trap Servicing: Keeping commercial kitchens and sites environmentally compliant.

The next time you pass a CD Environmental truck, you’ll know we're on our way to keep another Irish business clean and compliant!

🌧️ STORM AUSTEN PREPARATION: PROTECT YOUR PREMISES & DRAINAGE SYSTEMS

🚨With Met Éireann issuing rain and wind warnings across Ireland for Storm Austen, local commercial premises, industrial estates, and retail parks need to take immediate preventative action to avoid surface flooding and operational disruption. When heavy downpours hit, leaf litter, debris, and silt quickly wash into gullies and commercial drainage networks, causing severe blockages in minutes.

Here are 5 quick checks facility managers and business owners should complete today:
1️⃣ Clear Surface Gully Grates: Remove loose leaves, mud, and litter from surface grates around car parks, yards, and loading bays to allow surface water to flow freely.
2️⃣ Check Oil Interceptors & Grease Traps: High volumes of stormwater can cause overloaded interceptors or grease units to back up or overflow, leading to environmental contamination risks.
3️⃣ Inspect Downpipes & Channel Drains: Ensure perimeter slot drains and ACO channels around building entrances are clear of silt and buildup before heavy rain starts.
4️⃣ Clear Surrounding Debris: Secure loose pallets, bins, and packaging materials around your yard so wind doesn't blow them onto drain covers.
5️⃣ Know Your Emergency Contacts: If surface water starts pooling near building entrances or bays, act early before it causes internal damage.

⚠️ Need Emergency Drain Clearance or Gully Sucking?
If your drainage system is slow or backing up ahead of the storm, the CD Environmental team is on standby to keep your site clear and operational.

Well... lightning has struck twice this October! ⚡️

We’re absolutely delighted (and a little bit blown away!) to share that CD Environmental has been shortlisted for the Environment & Impact Award at the Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards, sponsored by Technological University of the Shannon.

To be nominated for an award once, Family Business Awards, in a month is an honour—but to get a second nod in October? Safe to say, the high-vis jackets are looking a bit extra shiny around here this week! 🌟

Jokes aside, awards like this are a huge nod to our brilliant team who are out in all weathers keeping things running smoothly, cleanly, and sustainably across the region. We couldn't do any of it without their hard work—or without the fantastic customers and clients who trust us every day.

A massive congratulations to all the other local businesses shortlisted across the categories. We’re in exceptionally fine company, and we're really looking forward to the awards night in Limerick! 🥂

We’ve done it again, and honestly, we’re a bit blown away!

CD Environmental has been nominated once more in Family Business Awards 2026. Out of thousands of brilliant entries nationwide, we’re beyond proud to be the only Clare company shortlisted in the Professional & Business Services category.

With so many incredible businesses across the country, just getting a nod like this is a massive deal for us. Family is at the absolute heart of everything we do, and as they say, 'In Clare We Care'.

A heartfelt thank you to our team, our brilliant customers, and everyone across the county who supports us along the way. We’re truly grateful, and only getting started!

One of the most rewarding parts of running a local business is being able to give back to the community, and we had a fantastic time last night!

We were delighted to meet up with the Clooney Quin GAA Club minor hurling team as they picked up their new jerseys and training tops for the season as the championship heads into the ‘business end’ of things..

Pictured here is our very own Lynn presenting the kit to minor manager Brian, and her son—though looking at the two of them, it’s fair to say he definitely didn't get his height from her! 😂

Wishing the team and management the absolute best of luck for the season ahead. We’re proud to be behind you all! 🟡🔵

A massive shoutout to every kitchen crew flat out across the country in this glorious weather! 🍻

While half the country is out enjoying a cold one in the sunshine, we know the real heat is in the kitchens. Plate after plate, wash-up after wash-up—it is brilliant to see local spots absolutely flying, but it is a serious test of endurance for your drainage system.

When a kitchen is under pressure, the grease trap is too. With this heat, fats and oils don't cool down and settle inside the trap the way they normally do. Instead, they sneak right past the system in liquid form and head straight into your main pipes, cooling down further down the line to create a major headache.

Blockages never happen on a quiet Tuesday morning; they wait for your busiest, sunniest weekend service to cause a backup.

🚚 We've got you covered nationwide
Whether you are based here in Clare or anywhere else in Ireland, our team travels nationwide to keep commercial kitchens running smoothly. A quick preventative service now means complete peace of mind while the sun is splitting the rocks.

Keep the kitchens moving and the crowds happy!
