This 2015 Audi A6 came into the workshop after failing its NCT due to a severely corroded front subframe.

Swipe to see the before and after photos. The original subframe was badly rusted and no longer roadworthy, so we replaced it with a new subframe and got the car back to road worthy condition.

A front subframe is a critical structural component, and excessive corrosion is a common reason for NCT failure on older vehicles. Thankfully, this one is now safe, secure, and ready to get back on the road.

Many modern Opel, Ford & PSA ( Peugeot/Citroën/DS ) engines use 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦. Unlike traditional timing belts, these belts run inside the engine oil and can deteriorate overtime if service intervals are missed or incorrect oil is used.
