A first for us……

RR L405 with gearbox issues that we diagnosed as a solenoid fault internally. We removed the transmission valve block and sent off to be tested/repaired. It was very quickly sent back to us “unable to test/repair” so after doing a bit of research we managed to find a ZF transmission solenoid replacement kit! How hard can it be?! Actually really simple! I stripped the valve block down , replaced all of the solenoids and it’s now ready to go back in the car. Let’s hope I’ve got it right 🤞🤞

A few we are currently working on over the next day or so….RRS s having both manifolds and the engine oil cooler replace...

A few we are currently working on over the next day or so….
RRS s having both manifolds and the engine oil cooler replaced as well as a couple of extra bits
RR with a transmission fault , we’ve removed the valve block and sent away for repair.
D5 in for timing belt replacements.
JAAAAAAG is burning engine oil 🙁

Day one……for some reason I booked in two engine replacements for this week!😅
Very productive first day though , body off and engine out of the D4 and engine out of the RRS. We had to remove the engine from the front as the subframe bolts are seized so we couldn’t drop the engine and subframe out of the bottom which is a far easier way to do it.

We have had this very rare project Kahn 3.0 v6 supercharged petrol RR L405 in for a couple weeks to have the timing chains replaced.
Once the work was carried out the customer asked if we could also get the MOT done too. All passed and ready for collection.
What a stunning looking car 😍

And just like that I’m back to work……after 11 days off on my holidays I was gagging to back to work!😁
Brenda kept us open whilst I was off so we can keep the lights on for another week 😅🤣.

A few large jobs to be carried out this week , one of which is a very rare 3.0 v6 supercharged petrol RR to have the timing chains replaced! Pretty much the same as the 5.0 minus a couple of cylinders.

Discovery sport with the dreaded ingenium engine is in today for a replacement piston cooling jet solenoid.

Sometimes it doesn’t always go to plan and either a parts’s delay or a job just takes that little longer to do…..this has a knock on effect to the rest of the weeks work. 😅
We do really appreciate all of our customers understanding how difficult these cars are to work on. We usually by some miracle manage to still get it all done but we don’t like to rush as our quality of work is the most important thing we pride ourselves on. We do our best so thank you in advance for your patience.
