Scotland sessions 🇬🇧🔥

This Time Attack Evo came to us stuck at ~700bhp, chasing more power but more importantly — reliability.

Now making 935.9HP / 610 ft-lb on the dyno limited by the fuel flow

The main difference? Proper data and control to understand what was happening.

Running a full Life Racing F88 setup with:
• Flex fuel sensor (E85)
• Exhaust Manifold pressure
• 4x EGT
• Lambda
• Coolant pressure
• Oil & fuel pressure
• Paddle shift + sequential gearbox
• Full PDU + AIM DASH integration

We recommended adding exhaust back pressure monitoring to really understand what the turbo and engine were doing under load as well as EGTs.

No guesswork. Just data.

Big numbers are one thing…
But making them repeatable, usable and reliable is what actually matters.

Next will be 8 injectors and hopefully the magic 4 digits

Spent three days with DM Performance in France 🇫🇷 FOR 3 cars and this E30 M3 was a great reminder that drivability starts with fundamentals, not maps.

The complaint was poor low-end and small-throttle behaviour. Jumped in the car on the dyno and within minutes it was obvious something wasn’t right — the TPS signal was extremely noisy and fluctuating badly.

On an E30 M3 running ITBs, load is Alpha-N, so throttle position is everything. If the TPS signal isn’t clean, no amount of tuning will fix it no matter how hard you try to go round the issue.

Digging deeper revealed:
TPS and coolant temp sensor grounded to chassis, not ECU sensor ground
No air temperature sensor connected at all

That combination guarantees noise, drift and inconsistent fuelling — especially on a basic but perfectly capable ECUmaster Classic.

We reworked part of the loom, moved the sensors to proper ECU sensor ground, added the missing IAT, recalibrated everything and then mapped the engine properly across part-load and throttle.

Result?
The owner came back from the drive saying it was night and day different — genuinely didn’t recognise the car.
Same engine. Same hardware.

Clean signals → correct load calculation → proper calibration.

This is why understanding why an engine behaves the way it does matters just as much as knowing how to tune it 🔧

Working in this industry, you quickly realise how rare it is to meet another tuner who sees things the same way you do—someone who’s not just skilled, but genuinely collaborative, humble, and willing to put egos aside for the sake of getting the job done right.

This past week working with Shane Tuckenberg has been a perfect example of that. Shane’s a big MoTeC guy—everyone knows it—so when I reached out for help for a 2JZ on Methanol , especially with the kind of power goals we were chasing (2000-whp mark before Spray), I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew I didn’t have the experience with Methanol at that level, and I wanted to surround myself with people who could help push the project where it needed to go and offer the customer the service he deserved.

What absolutely humbled me was how quickly and openly Shane jumped on board. No hesitation. No ego. No pushing MoTeC. Just a genuine willingness to work together, share knowledge, and tackle a huge challenge as a team.

And that’s the part that really stood out: how well we worked together. It’s not often you meet another tuner who approaches problems the same way, thinks through the details the same way, and is happy to collaborate instead of compete. The whole process flowed so naturally that it honestly reminded me why I love doing this in the first place.

Massive appreciation to Shane for being part of this project, for the teamwork, for the energy, and for proving that great things genuinely happen when the right people get in the same room and leave the ego at the door.

Here’s to more builds, more learning, and more collaborations like this. 🙌

💥 BMW N54 — Syvecs Tuned | 6266 Single Turbo | Stock Engine 💥

Enjoy sunny Texas this week and we got another N54 showing what’s possible with precision control and careful calibration.
This one’s running a Precision 6266 Gen1 single turbo, Syvecs management system and an additional set of 750cc Bosch secondaries to deliver all the fuel needed with Flex — all on a stock long block.

After a full RaceCal tune, it laid down 645.9 WHP and 519.4 lb-ft on our hub dyno 📈
Smooth boost curve, consistent torque delivery, and rock-solid reliability 👌

Haven't posted for a while as been involved in few different projects we coulsnt talked about and just got very busy at time.
But we just landed in Texas to spend the week with the Maas family and get 4 cars done, 2 Supra, 1 BMW and 1 RS3
Let's make it a good week with plenty of power to tear the street of Austin

A great day on the pitch with the Risden Wood U7 Colts!
We’ve been proud to support them this year — and we’re even more excited to step in as main sponsor from next season as they move into U8s.

At RaceCal, we back performance — from the dyno bay to the football pitch.

When launch is dialled in correctly, and you can just send the car out off the trailer to do a 7s repeatedly, it just hits right...
Anyone who tried to run 7s in the UK will know how hard that is 😅
Kudos to the customers who kept trusting us and let us have the opportunity to show we could do it and obviously for building reliable 7s street cars, they certainly got the recipe right 👌
Can't wait for 2025 and break new records with potentially 3 very fast GTRs .gtr .tango
