‘Wow what a service, I ordered my new 3/4 hood (sand) for my Land rover 90 (1985) on Monday morning, you had to make it and send it up to the North of Scotland, we received it on Friday afternoon. Had this lovely Fiat Campagnola for a new bespoke hood and also decided to have the seats re-trimmed in a black vinyl. This is a beige mohair soft top with clear side and rear windows & zips with individual bungees for fitting.

Another Land Rover in for a new hood this week which was brought over from Ireland, the team worked really hard to get this finished in just a couple of days. On this vehicle is a 90 Full Black Mohair with side and rear windows in smoked tint fitted with studs.

We have had this Dacia Duster in the workshop the last couple of days for a new hood!

Kim removed the old hood, redesigned it to allow for zips in the back and sides so they roll up, manufactured the new hood in brown Mohair with black leather straps and a smoked rear window.

FUN FACT…! We use a double thick thread when we manufacture the top of our hoods so that it fills the needle hole to stop any potential leaking!

For the backs and sides we use a bonded nylon 40 thread and for the top a poly-cotton 20 thread. The larger the number the finer the thread and the smaller the number the thicker the thread.

This is just one of the details we have control over by manufacturing our hoods ourselves at our workshop in Oxfordshire, UK to make sure they are top quality.
