Friday is here again, with the busy summer holidays and catching up with work. Posting has been a bit quiet, but here's one of the jobs from today. This was an Mot which unfortunately failed, the front suspension coil spring was broken and due to an exhaust leak it has also failed on emissions. The coil spring has now been replaced and once the exhaust has been fitted it will get retested and back on the road. Have a great weekend. 🔩🔧💪

Today's job was a turbo replacement on this Hyundai Santa Fe, On removal of the turbo the cause of the failure became very apparent! The customer was unaware but the the engine was badly carboned up (as you can see from the pictures) the oil filter also has not been changed in some time. (Even though the customer had been paying for annual services) after finding this i had to remove the sump and check/ clean it and the oil pickup. It's now all sorted and with some regular servicing it should be as good as new. 🔩🔧💪

Another busy & hot week for me, whilst Aaron is away. Started off with diagnostics check, then brakes, ABS sensor, full service and MOT, vintage Morris dynamo replacement, service and MOT, another MOT, down to Bishop Stoke to investigate noises & today to Southampton for a full service, all Mots passed this week, lots of enquiries, but booking now from September onwards. Now to enjoy weekend.

Mini gearbox and clutch replacement, fully stripped down to allow access and removal, the gearbox was being replaced due to losing first gear. But the clutch had also failed, as you can see from the images. All in a days work 🔩🔧💪

End of the week and heres a little catch up of some more jobs from the week. We had a Foat 500 for a Cambelt and water pump replacement, also a Ford Ka for Mot repairs and some rear brakes that had been leaking and failed. Its been another hot and very busy week. Time to rest over the weekend! 🔩🔧💪😁

This was the condition of the air conditioning compressor on a job we had recently, the customer had a noise and had requested that we fit a new auxiliary belt.
It's always better to get a diagnosis done on issues rather than requesting work first!
