This little track weapon is running the OC Motorsport Peak Performance Stage 3 kit, with a hybrid turbo and Stage 3 mapping making over 300bhp.
With Bilstein suspension, big brakes and a half cage, it’s a regular on track days keeping much more expensive machinery in its mirrors!
It came in today for a health check and diagnostic after a front wheel bearing had been replaced elsewhere to cure a noise under hard cornering. The noise was still there, and the wheel alignment was well out, so we got to work finding the cause.
We found excessive wear in the nearside front driveshaft. We fitted a genuine Ford replacement, installed a new driveshaft oil seal and topped up the gearbox oil.
With the fault fixed, we reset the alignment and suspension geometry to the specs from its last visit, with a few extra tweaks informed by what we’ve learned from running our own race car this season.
All sorted and ready for its next track outing! 🏁
