A little reminder of the detailing packages currently available from Phantom Detailing.

From a thorough exterior clean to a complete inside and out refresh, there’s an option depending on what your car actually needs.

For cars needing more, the Exterior Deep Clean includes a full paint decontamination—aimed at removing embedded iron fallout, road tar, tree sap, insect remains and other contamination that a normal wash simply won’t remove. The paintwork is then left smooth, glossy and protected for up to 12 months.

The Phantom Signature takes care of the whole vehicle, combining the Exterior Deep Clean with a full Interior Deep Clean for the complete package.

Phantom Detailing isn’t built around rushing from one car to the next. Depending on the package chosen, your vehicle may be my only booking that day—allowing me to give every stage the time and attention it needs.

💦 Hosepipe ban stopping you from giving your car a clean?

You might not be able to get the hosepipe or pressure washer out at home... but I can.

Professional car detailing businesses are exempt from the current hosepipe restrictions when washing customers' vehicles.

So if your car is starting to look like it needs some attention, you don't have to wait for the restrictions to end.

Phantom Detailing is still operating as normal and your car can still get the clean it needs.

Single Stage Paint Correction – VW Beetle Sola Edition

This Sola Edition belongs to a VW enthusiast and is genuinely cherished. Following contact with some bushes, the paintwork had been left with scratches and scuffs running along the length of the car.

The owner sent me some photos, but they didn’t show the damage clearly enough for me to say what level of correction it needed. I went over with my detailing light, inspected the car with her and we agreed that a Single Stage Paint Correction was the right option.

I also found two older, deeper scratches during the inspection. I explained that I could reduce them, but they were too deep to remove completely without taking unnecessary risks with the paint.

After a thorough wash and full paint decontamination, every one of the recent marks was removed and the two older scratches were noticeably reduced.

I also machine polished the dull and hazy headlights at no additional cost. They weren’t part of the original request, but correcting the paint and leaving the headlights like that wouldn’t have made the car look complete.

Within reason, if something needs doing to bring the finished car together, I’ll do it.

Finished with the included Ceramic Lite protection and dedicated protection for the fabric roof—both offering up to 12 months of protection.

A few new additions and a restock for Phantom Detailing today.

I’ve upgraded my old corded mini polisher to a battery-powered FLEX PXE 80, which will work alongside my larger FLEX cordless polisher.

There are also some new polishing pads in various sizes, drying towels, wash mitts, clay bars, chemicals and plenty of other bits that needed replacing or topping up.

Hosepipe ban? Phantom Detailing is still operating. 👻

With the current restrictions across the Essex & Suffolk Water area, you may be wondering whether I can still clean and detail your vehicle.

The restrictions prevent customers from using a hosepipe or pressure washer to clean their own private vehicle. However, businesses washing private vehicles as a service to customers are specifically listed as an exception.

This means I can continue using your outdoor water supply while carrying out a booked detail at your home. This isn’t a loophole or my interpretation of the rules—it’s an official exception published by Essex & Suffolk Water.

The drought is serious, so I’ll continue using water carefully and responsibly throughout every detail—but the hosepipe ban doesn’t mean professional detailing has to stop.
