⚠️ CHASSIS FUNCTION FAULT? DON’T IGNORE IT. ⚠️

This BMW M4 came into us with a chassis function fault warning displayed on the iDrive.

After carrying out a full diagnostic inspection, we traced the issue back to a failed EDC (Electronic Damper Control) acceleration sensor. This sensor plays a crucial role in monitoring vehicle movement and allowing the suspension system to react accordingly.

To ensure a lasting repair, we replaced the faulty sensor with a genuine BMW part and fitted a genuine BMW repair loom where required.

🔧 F80 M3 – Major Oil Leak Diagnosed & Repaired 🔧

This F80 M3 arrived with us suffering from a severe oil leak, with the engine bay heavily contaminated in oil.

After carrying out our inspection, we quickly identified the cause — an aftermarket rocker cover that had failed, allowing oil to escape and spread throughout the engine bay.

To put things right, we carried out the following:

• Genuine BMW rocker cover gasket replacement
• Injector well seal replacement
• New spark plugs fitted (existing plugs were soaked in oil)
• Crankcase ventilation pipe replacement due to damage
• Thorough engine bay clean and decontamination
• Full inspection to ensure no further leaks were present

By using genuine BMW components and carrying out the repair correctly, we had this M3 cleaned up, repaired, and back on the road the very next day. ✅

If your S55-powered M3 or M4 is showing signs of oil leaks, burning oil smells, smoke from the engine bay, or oil around the rocker cover area, don’t leave it too long. Catching these issues early can prevent further damage and unnecessary expense.

This M135i came in with a leaking sump gasket. With the sump already needing to be removed, the customer decided to take the opportunity to carry out some preventative maintenance and upgrades while everything was apart.
