Incredible discovery!

While weeding the patio, we found this Roman 'Pintus Maximus.'

Preliminary dating suggests it's from AD 70. Experts say it’s proof that The Black Bear was actually the first ever Roman 'Pub-licum' in Shropshire.

As a result, we will only be serving wine in clay amphoras and wearing togas for the rest of the week.
