So I have some more good news for the week.
This is Amy. Amy has been learning with me and her mum since September. Manual was a bit too overwhelming so she swapped to Auto and found me as a result. This was a more calming and relaxed envornment in which to learn and then hone her skills.

She has had to overcome a fair few things in life, so learning to drive was yet another obstacle on the journey called life. She has been driving with increased self confidence and better still, increasing awareness of those around her. Some of which she can control, some of which is out of her control and therefore, don't get overwhelmed by such factors.

Today was Test Day in sunny Wi******er. At the first time of asking, she completely nailed it. On the drive home, she called the most important in her life and it was wonderful to hear the reaction these people. Combination of relief, happiness but a huge dose of pride. We returned to baloons on her car. This will again open up her life and those around her. She already has plans and the dreams have only just begun.

As a result of quite a few recent passes, I now have some spare capacity in my diary so if you are seeking Auto lessons in the Whitchurch to Andover and surroundings area, please contact me.

Who's up for a Good News Story?

This is Dan, Dan the Man. Dan first started this journey back in September 2025. For the first few lessons, we really struggled. Speed and Steering in the main. He couldn't steer for toffee. I think we both wondered if this was going to work. Dan shook like a leaf, on every lesson as soon as he came out of the house.

We persevered. Progress was made. We both agreed to delay the test to put us in the best position to pass first time.

Today was Test Day in Salisbury. Today was not the day to shake. Today was a time for focus and simply prove to someone else, what he had proved to me and his parents. Self confidence really is key to success.

Today, Dan totally nailed it. He passed at the first time of asking and what's more, did it with Zero Faults. That's right, he joins the elite club of the Zero Hero!

We were both rather gobsmacked and very happy. He thoroughly deserves this result and will be a credit to the driving community. It will open up his life, will allow more flexibility with his job and more earning power.

Oh Bella Bella.

This is Bella who had such a great test on Salisbury today. One minute the traffic was non existent, the next we're in the thick of it and some really technical situations she needed to think and work her way through.

Bella came to me with a test date already booked but was very open to changing this to a date which allowed her to really master her skills so that she knew she was safe to herself and her family and all those around her. It just proves that hard work pays off.

This is Leah. Leah came to me a couple of months ago having been unsuccessful on previous attempts, so we needed to work on various aspects of her driving but mostly on her self-belief and confidence that showed others she rightly belonged behind the wheel.

A successful drive will tend to flow from a confident drive. Not too timid, not too egotistical. Finding a balance can be a bit tricky at times.

Even this morning, Leah had thoughts of failing, thoughts of giving up, thoughts that another long wait (6 months) for a test was acceptable.

A short time later, she was bouncing for joy, and I really mean bouncing like a kangaroo! So much so, she felt the urge to go and hug the young guy in the background who had also received the good news and I had to get her back in the car so that the Examiner could give her the debrief and licence! It was quite a moment for all who witnessed it.
