The 2026 UK Garage and Bodyshop Event saw strong growth, major brand participation, and high industry engagement, reinforcing its role as a key meeting point for the UK aftermarket.

🔧 Summary of the Event
Attendance rose to 6,098 visitors, an 18% increase from 2024, showing growing momentum across garages, bodyshops and detailing businesses.

Over 200 brands exhibited, including major names such as AkzoNobel, Bosch Mobility Aftermarket, Hella, AUTEL UK and LKQ Euro Car Parts.

Several companies — including Schaeffler and UFI Filters Group — exhibited for the first time, signalling the event’s expanding influence.

With 78% of the 2028 floorplan already sold, exhibitor confidence remains high.

🎤 Industry Discussions & Key Themes
New expert speakers delivered sessions on SERMI compliance, Right to Repair, vehicle data access, and the future of MOT testing.

The IAAF used the event to call for a mandatory minimum MOT fee of £54.85, warning that discounting threatens long‑term testing network viability and road safety.

👩‍🏭 Talent & Training
The Student Programme welcomed 250+ students, offering career insights and hands‑on experience, including four dedicated work placements.

Exhibitors praised the event for strong engagement, valuable conversations and opportunities to demonstrate technology directly to workshops.

We use an AI Receptionist here at Dorset Auto Restore Ltd, called Jodie, who when Warren is unavailable, will take your name, phone number and brief description of your issue.

**WHY DO WE USE AN AI RECEPTIONIST**

We are busy here at the workshop, Warren is either prepping a car, mixing paint or spraying, and is normally at a stage where he can't break away, we also have lots of noise e.g compressor going, heat gun and radio on.

He also sometimes needs to collect parts or paints.

We sometimes close the office door when spraying so we don't get overspray on everything, so sometimes we don't hear the phone, instead of leaving it to ring, we have Jodie from to take some details, name, phone number and description of your issue.

Warren WILL call you back that day, when he can break off from what he is doing.

**CAN I BE RUDE TO THE AI RECEPTIONIST**

Would you be rude to any other receptionist? Probably no, so don't be rude to the AI, Warren can hear EVERY CALL when he checks the dashboard, saying you'd rather speak to a human, doesn't help! Its actually Counter Productive as we don't have your name or details to call you back,
