🏁BMW M5 Competition LCI 🏁

Pedestrian warning error and brake issue resolved.

Initial diagnosis showed an intermittent fault with the collision system.
Testing ran on all sensors and wiring loom, with further investigation into the wiring itself. We discovered that the system had been incorrectly tampered with, and wired wrongly.

We restored the wiring and put everything back in place, system re-adapted and fault cleared successfully.

Vehicle had squeaky brakes, all pads removed, checked and lubricated. This significantly reduced the noise.

Health check carried out after works, now this M5 works like it should!

🏁 Volkswagen T32 Twin Turbo TDi 204 SportLine 🏁

Vehicle recovered from Cornwall for engine failure.
Upon inspection we found that one of the con-rods had bent while slightly damaging the block sleeve and crankshaft bearings.

We managed to save the engine, sourced a complete con-rod, piston and crankshaft bearings from VW main dealer. Block and crankshaft checked, tested and polished with new piston & rod installed including the new bearings.

Meanwhile we installed new ELRING head bolts, injector set seals, cam cover, head gasket, exhaust and inlet gaskets, new GATES timing belt and INA electric water pump.

Engine tested, vehicle assembled, several oil changes completed with Castrol manufacturer recommended oil and filter. Finally, the air con was re-charged at 6° to complete the job successfully.

Some of our recent work 🏁

✅ Audi RS3 DSG 8P Quattro
Full service and health check including air, oil and cabin filters. Brake, oil and anti-freeze fluids changed to manufacturer specification. DSG gearbox oil and filter replaced using genuine main dealer parts. The RS3 came in for an issue with the EVAP canister, which was removed, tested and cleaned, then re-adapted. Spark plugs checked and cleaned. Rear subframe has been rustproofed to preserve it.

✅ BMW N43 2.0
Timing chain full kit replaced, rocker cover gasket replaced, crankshaft gasket replaced, engine crankcase breather (dealer genuine) replaced, sump cleaned as we found pieces of the old timing chain guides which could cause major engine issues down the line.

✅ Range Rover 4.4 TDV8
Front air spring failed during MOT assistance.
We replaced using an enforced unit by APEC. We carefully assembled new unit for the individual TDV8 set-up.

✅ Mercedes Benz Viano 3.5 V6 Petrol
Full health check and service carried out; including air, oil and cabin filters, spark plugs replaced.
Air Inlet flap claps mechanism replaced with metal instead of the original plastic pieces.
Brakes were also replaced and MOT assistance by us.

Volkswagen Golf R 2.0 TFSi DSG 4-motion

Engine rebuilt due to rod bearing failure, causing con rod and crankshaft damage.

✅ We replaced the damaged rod and crankshaft with an engineered and tested unit, tested for cracks/bends and having its journals polished.
✅ Main, conrod and thrust washer bearings all replaced with top end German parts.
✅ Oil pump replaced with an uprated unit supplied by main dealer
✅ Crank seal, all timing chains and gaskets checked and replaced with main dealers parts.
✅ DSG auto gearbox fully serviced with main dealer parts after successful engine repair.

After we have cleaned the engine internals, the oil and filter were replaced several times, including removals of the sump to ensure this engine sees no more metal pieces of the damaged parts.
Lastly, we serviced this vehicle with main dealer parts, once our repairs were completed successfully.

Audi A5 Quattro 7 speed S-Tronic (DSG)
The automatic gearbox was faulty once operational oil temperature reached.
Transmission speed and position sensor found faulty and replaced, the whole gearbox had to be disassembled.
The 0B5 gearbox has 2 types of oil (DSG & Axle drive) both have been replaced, afterwards gearbox has been adapted to meet operational requirements.
Full vehicle service and inspection carried out.
Anti roll-bar bushes replaced.
