Vauxhall mokka

This Vauxhall mokka had been to other garages previously to locate a coolant leak. Unfortunately the other garages were not successful at finding its issue. With a basic coolant pressure test we was able to locate the leak. The leak was coming from a failed o-ring which was located behind the exhaust manifold. We removed the pipe - replaced the o- ring and then pressure tested the system again to confirm the fault is fixed.

This Mercedes atego was in for some general maintenance on the front suspension. We set about replacing the worn anti roll bar bushes. Upon inspection it was noted that one of the front shocks was misting oil. We made the decision to replace both shock absorbers.

The customer had also asked for some service work

Mercedes A180

This repair was a rebook from the previous week. We attended the customers address to remove and replace the glow plugs. This type of repair can become catastrophic, due to the high risk that the glow plugs can snap in the cylinder head.

Most mechanics will run a mile when glow plugs are mentioned. Thankfully with some persistence we managed to extract all x4 with no issues.

Once removed we checked again that the glow plugs had failed with a basic resistance test. Fault confirmed x4 were replaced with OE matching quality parts

This Vauxhall corsa was booked in for a knocking suspension.

Upon inspection it was found that the lower
Ball joint had failed. The shock absorber had also popped leaking its gas and oil. We set about removing and replacing the failed items with oe quality parts.

This Kia sportage was booked in for a clutch replacement.

The clutch biting point was almost none existent, it would struggle to select gears and it would slip.

We attended the customers address in Stevenage and set about removing the gearbox. With the gearbox removed we cleaned all The surfaces, greased the clutch fork pivot and cleaned the alloy corrosion from the mating faces. A oe quality replacement clutch was supplied and fitted. The old clutch was original and virtually on the rivets.

Mercedes A180

This Mercedes was booked in due to an engine management light. We attended the customers address and ran some diagnostics. This revealed fault codes for the glow plug circuit.

After Removing some covers and pipes I was able to perform a basic continuity test on the glow plugs. This test showed x3 out of x4 faulty glow plugs.

The repair was been quoted and rebooked for a later date. Back onto this one later.
