🚗 ANOTHER VEHICLE TRANSFORMED – CUSTOM ECU REMAPPING & FULL VALET! | Landrover Discovery Sport ✨
This vehicle came in for a combination of performance improvements and some much-needed interior TLC!
🔧 BENCH CUSTOM ECU REMAPPING
We carried out a custom bench remap using our AutoTuner equipment, safely reading the vehicle's ECU data and uploading the original file to the PD Tuning Hereford portal for an economical, tailored tuning solution.
The process included:
- ECU removal: Carefully accessing and removing the ECU ready for bench programming.
- AutoTuner connection: Connecting professional AutoTuner equipment directly to the ECU to read its original software.
- Original file reading: Retrieving the factory ECU calibration to ensure we have the correct starting point.
- PD Tuning.net portal: Uploading the original ECU file to the tuning portal for an economical tuning calibration.
- Custom calibration: Receiving the revised tuning file, designed to improve the vehicle's performance and drivability.
- ECU programming: Writing the revised calibration back to the ECU and carrying out checks before refitting.
The aim is to achieve a smoother, more responsive driving experience with improved performance, while keeping the vehicle's requirements in mind.
🧽 FULL VALET – Autoglym | PRODUCT RANGE.
The customer also requested a full interior and exterior valet, with particular attention paid to excessive pet hair and debris throughout the rear seating area and boot.
We used professional Autoglym products throughout to bring the vehicle back to a fresh, clean and presentable condition.
Our valet process included:
🫧 1. Exterior pre-wash
Using Autoglym Polar Blast to loosen and lift road grime, dirt and traffic film before contact washing. This helps reduce the risk of introducing wash-induced scratches.
🚿 2. Safe contact wash
Using Autoglym bodywork shampoo to remove remaining dirt and contaminants while providing lubrication during the wash process.
✨ 3. Wheel and tyre cleaning
Autoglym Custom Wheel Cleaner was used to break down brake dust and road contamination, leaving the wheels looking fresh. Tyres were cleaned to remove built-up dirt and grime.
💦 4. Exterior drying and finishing
The vehicle was carefully dried using clean microfibre drying towels to minimise water marks and leave a clean finish.
🧹 5. Intensive interior vacuuming
All carpets, seats, footwells and hard-to-reach areas were thoroughly vacuumed to remove loose dirt, dust and everyday debris.
🐾 6. Excessive pet hair removal
Extra time and attention were dedicated to the rear seats, carpets and boot area. Using specialist pet-hair removal tools and brushes, we worked through the fibres to lift stubborn embedded hair that ordinary vacuuming simply won't remove.
🧴 7. Interior surface cleaning
Autoglym Interior Shampoo was used where appropriate to clean interior fabrics and remove everyday marks and soiling. Hard surfaces, plastics and touchpoints were cleaned to remove dust, fingerprints and general grime.
🌟 8. Interior dressing and finishing
Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care was applied to suitable interior plastic and vinyl surfaces to restore a clean, refreshed appearance without leaving an unnecessarily greasy finish.
🪟 9. Glass cleaning
Autoglym Fast Glass was used on the interior and exterior glass to remove fingerprints, smears and residue, leaving a clear, streak-free finish.
🧼 10. Final inspection
Every area was checked, with particular attention to the rear seating area and boot, ensuring as much embedded pet hair and accumulated dirt as possible had been removed.
