🔧 Brandon – Owner & Auto Electrician
Brandon is the main man behind the tools! He carries out the majority of our vehicle jobs, from diagnostics and electrical work to installations and everything in between. He’s the one you’ll most often see out and about on the road getting your vehicles sorted. 🚐🔧

📱 Jess – Admin & Social Media
Brandon’s wife, Jess, has recently taken over the admin side of the business alongside being a mummy to baby Nancy. You’ll find her replying to messages, answering customer enquiries, keeping on top of bookings and paperwork, and running our social media.

🚨 KEEPING THE WHEELS TURNING! 🚨

Another recovery truck sorted and back ready for action! 🔧⚡

This MAN recovery truck came to us needing a replacement LED beacon bar, as the existing unit had started to fail.

While carrying out the work, we also replaced the wiring from the beacon bar down to the control box. The old wiring had been causing an intermittent issue and blowing fuses every now and again.

The new beacon bar is now fitted, wired correctly and working exactly as it should. 🟠🟠🟠

In the recovery industry, keeping the wheels turning is more important than ever. Downtime means lost work, which is why we always aim to diagnose the problem properly and get vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible.

🔧 Old-School Maserati 3200 GT — Crank, No Start 🇮🇹

We had this beautiful Maserati 3200 GT in with a crank but no-start fault.

After carrying out initial diagnostics and testing, we discovered that the engine ECU and several other modules were missing their ignition feed.

From there, it was a case of getting stuck into the wiring. 🔍⚡

After tracing the circuit, we found the culprit underneath the engine bay fuse box — a wire had cracked and corroded over time, eventually causing it to completely fail.

✅ Damaged wiring located
✅ Corroded section removed & repaired
✅ Ignition feeds restored
✅ Module communication restored
✅ Vehicle starting and running again

Once the wiring was repaired, all the affected modules came back online and the Maserati fired straight up — sounding absolutely beautiful! 👌🇮🇹

A great example of why proper electrical fault finding is so important. Rather than simply replacing modules and hoping for the best, we traced the fault right back to the source and got this classic Maserati back up and running.

🔧 Another D-Max ready for its next owner! 🔧

We had this lovely Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks in with us today for a few finishing touches before the customer puts it up for sale.

The work included:

🔸 New rear parking sensors – the previous sensors were missing/not working, so we supplied and installed a complete replacement set.

🔸 Upgraded reversing camera – the customer had replaced the old camera with a much neater unit built directly into the factory-style tailgate handle. With the cable already run into the cab, we completed the connection to the radio, giving a much cleaner installation and a clearer view behind the vehicle.

🔸 DAB aerial installation – the DAB radio had never worked correctly, so while we were working behind the radio we installed a new DAB antenna to get that up and running too.

A few relatively small upgrades that make a big difference, and the D-Max is now fully finished and ready to hit the market! 👌

It’s been another busy week so far, with plenty of radio and speaker upgrades going through the workshop.

🔧 REVERSING CAMERA UPGRADE – VAUXHALL VIVARO 📹

Our customer contacted us looking to have a reversing camera fitted to their company Vauxhall Vivaro — of course, this wasn’t a problem!

The vehicle was fitted with the base factory radio, which unfortunately isn’t compatible with a reversing camera interface. So we installed a dedicated setup instead.

We replaced the factory high-level brake light with a combined high-level brake light and reversing camera, giving a great view directly behind the van while keeping everything looking neat and factory.

Inside, we fitted a 7-inch mirror monitor, giving the driver a clear view when reversing without having to replace the original radio.

A tidy, practical upgrade for a working van — improving visibility and making reversing that little bit easier and safer. 👌

🔊 It’s been a busy month for radio upgrades at BC AutoTech! 🚗📱

This Subaru Forester came to us after the factory Starlink touchscreen stopped working, leaving the customer in need of a replacement.

We removed the faulty factory unit and upgraded it with a Pioneer SPH-DA150BT, using the correct wiring and fascia adapters to give it a clean, factory-style finish. 👌

What a difference it’s made! The Forester now benefits from a much more modern setup, including:

This customer came to us after the factory radio in his VW T6 had failed. Rather than simply replacing it like-for-like, we took the opportunity to give the system a serious upgrade.

We supplied and installed a Pioneer SPH-EVO98DAB floating-screen multimedia unit, bringing this T6 right up to date with:
