Some of you may have noticed our van looking nice and fresh with new sign-writing (big thanks to Reggie Vanstone), we’re excited to introduce our new logo!🎉

A new look, but the same commitment to providing reliable, professional auto electrical services you can count on.

Fear not, this new van will most definitely be kitted out with just as many lights as our other van. We have been on the road a lot and haven’t had the time to treat the van!🚨

WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!

A mega long day for us on Saturday — 18 hours in total — but when you stand back and look at the finished result, it was definitely worth it! 😍

This stunning Scania belonging to Westfield Transport has had a serious lighting upgrade, and what a difference it’s made to their home on wheels! 🔥

When you're living in the truck 5 days a weeks its your pride and joy and awesome to work on trucks like this. This isn't your advantage fleet spec truck this is now ready to be a show truck.

⚡ Installed by BC AutoTech:

• LA Lightbars roof bar fitted with 3x Lazer Triple-R Gen 2s lights, complete with DRLs & beacons
• Front splitter lighting kit with DRLs
• Side skirt DRLs, also wired to flash with the indicators
• 8x Gillies — 2 each side, 2 front & 2 rear
• Step bars with DRLs & work lights
• 2x roof beacon lights
• 3-way beacon switching, including the option for the beacons to activate with the main beam flash
• Plus probably plenty more we've forgotten after an 18-hour shift! 😂

But the important bit isn't just how it looks...

Everything has been installed properly using Scania pins, plugs and fuse holders, with the electrical feeds taken from Scania-approved pickup points through the bodybuilder connections. No unnecessary cutting into the factory loom — a professional installation designed to look right and work as it should. 👌⚡

And we're not finished with this one yet! 👀

The Scania will be back with us again for a full perimeter lighting kit and air horns, so there's still more to come. 🔥📣

We've made a great start on this Isuzu D-Max for ACExcavations&Groundworks Ltd with plenty more upgrades still to come.

✅ Completed so far: • Lazer Triple-R 750 Elite with grille integration • Lazer rear work light • Vehicle tracker installation

🔧 Still to be fitted: • Grille beacons • Rear beacons • Interior canopy lighting • Rear reverse lights • Dash camera system • And more...

This build is going to be a fantastic work vehicle once it's complete, improving visibility, safety and security both on and off site. We can't wait to show you the finished result!

Sometimes fault finding isn't as simple as plugging in a diagnostic machine...

This vehicle had central locking fault. On the surface it sounds straightforward, but modern vehicle wiring can often tell a very different story. Working together with local garages allows us to tackle the more complex electrical issues while helping to get their customers back on the road as quickly as possible.

To help us diagnose faults accurately, we invest around £300 every month in manufacturer wiring information, technical data. Having access to the correct information is essential, but even then, it doesn't always tell the full story.

On this vehicle, the lock wiring changed wire colours four times between the door lock and the Body Control Module (BCM). To make things even more interesting, none of those colours matched the official wiring diagrams, despite the wiring being completely factory original.

Situations like this are exactly why proper diagnosis takes time. Rather than guessing or replacing expensive control modules unnecessarily, we traced the wiring step by step to prove whether the fault lay in the wiring or the module itself.

Sometimes the only way to find the fault is to strip things back and investigate properly.

At BC AutoTech Ltd, we believe in diagnosing faults correctly the first time, saving our customers unnecessary parts and labour costs in the long run.

Another haulage vehicle recently booked in for electrical repairs to ensure all lighting and camera systems were operating correctly and ready for the road.

After diagnosing the fault, we repaired damaged wiring that was causing issues with the lighting circuit, restoring everything back to full working order.

We've also recommended the vehicle returns to have the wiring professionally tidied and simplified, making future diagnostics quicker, cleaner and more reliable.

There's still plenty left to do on this build, but the main electrical board is now starting to take shape and we're making some great progress.

I think I have one word for today and that is- WOW! 🤩

This was taken at 9:45 this morning, although we expected a reasonably busy turn out, never in a million years did we expect this - we filled our whole side of onyx + the top road and part of node car park!
