Thank you to everyone who joined in the costume fun this Halloween at Ford parkrun. Well done to our pictured winners as chosen by the finish funnel volunteers.

It's Halloween this weekend, so we're getting spooky and offering prizes for the best costumes!

Just show up for the parkrun as normal and judging will occur as you parkrun or parkwalk around our course x

Our volunteer roster is missing a few rather important additions before tomorrow's parkrun can go ahead... We need 2 marshals and a Run Director!

Don't worry if you have never done one of these roles, as you will be fully supported and given training should you feel you would benefit from it.

If you can help out please email [email protected] and Mike will get you on the roster.

Brian Morgan has been a very familiar face during the four years that he has been involved in Ford parkrun. He volunteered 129 times, with the vast majority of these roles being at the finish funnel. This weekend his wife, daughters and grandchildren joined us to celebrate his life and were keen to emphasise how important volunteering at parkrun was for Brian. We'll miss him ###

Double rainbow to brighten a cold and wet parkrun this morning. Thanks to Mike Freitas and Lindsay Ward for their photos. If you happen to find missing token number 71, please pop it in the bucket next week or email [email protected] to confess!

It's Apple Day at Ford Park, Ulverston this Saturday and we've had a request from the Trustees asking us not to go ahead with our parkrun. This is due to traders needing access to the park during our usual parkrun time and it would simply not be safe or practical for parkrun to take place at the same time.

As always, please check the website of other local parkruns before you travel and we hope you enjoy your lie-in/parkrun tourism!

Do you have a tutu? If so, this Saturday is a good excuse to wear it!

Tutus at the ready!

Did you know that when parkrunday falls on the 22nd of the month, it becomes Tutu Day?

So, for our 22nd birthday, we want to go one step further with a sea of tutus at parkrun this weekend 😍

Who’s in? 🧡
