This lovely MK2 Mazda MX-5 1.8 came into the workshop for some dyno power runs, giving the owner an accurate look at how their car is performing.

Not every visit to our dyno involves tuning. Sometimes it's simply about finding out what your car is actually producing, whether that's checking the results of previous modifications, establishing a baseline before future upgrades or just satisfying your curiosity! 👌

🔥 2015 Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCi – Stage 1 🔥

Who says vans can't have a bit of fun? 😎

This 2015 Transit Custom came into the workshop for one of our Street Stage 1 custom calibrations.

Equipped with the Continental SID208 ECU, we carried out our usual vehicle health checks before getting to work on the calibration, unlocking some serious potential from the 2.2 TDCi engine.

📈 Before:
⚙️ 100hp
⚙️ 300Nm

📈 After:
🔥 180hp
🔥 420Nm

That's an impressive 80hp and 120Nm increase! 💪

🔥 2006 Ford Focus ST225 – From Boost Problems to 300HP! 🔥

This Focus ST225 arrived at our workshop after visiting another tuner and unfortunately being left in a bit of a sorry state.

Our initial health checks highlighted several issues with the brakes, drivetrain and boost control system. The biggest concern was multiple vacuum issues around the boost control solenoid, leaving the wastegate stuck closed and giving the engine what can only be described as ALL OF THE BOOST! 😅

Before we could even think about tuning, there was some work to be done.

🔧 Brake repairs carried out
🔧 Replacement driveshafts fitted
🔧 Boost control and vacuum issues rectified
🔧 Custom intake heat shield fabricated

Despite having some really nice performance hardware fitted, the car was missing an intake heat shield, so our mechanic knocked up a temporary solution to keep things under control.

With the mechanical issues sorted, we finally strapped it onto our in-house dyno and got to work with the Bosch ME9.0C ECU.

We quickly reached our planned targets of 300hp and 460Nm, so rather than chasing unnecessary numbers, we spent the extra time out on the road refining the pedal calibration and throttle response to get the drivability just right.

🔥 463Nm

A fantastic result, but more importantly, a car that's now mechanically sorted, properly calibrated and driving as it should!

It's a perfect example of why we put so much emphasis on vehicle health checks before tuning. There's no point chasing power when the fundamentals aren't right.

🔓 NEW SERVICE – KORHEX ECU UNLOCKS NOW AVAILABLE

We’re pleased to announce that Caine Performance can now offer Korhex ECU unlocks here in the UK, with same-day turnaround available.

Thanks to the latest EMFI (Electromagnetic Fault Injection) and HVI (High Voltage Injection) technology, we now have access to advanced unlocking methods for a growing range of modern ECUs that were previously inaccessible through conventional bench and boot methods.

This means no more sending valuable ECUs overseas, significantly reducing turnaround times, shipping costs and the time the vehicle is off the road.

Simply send the ECU directly to us. Once received, we can carry out the Korhex unlock in-house, usually the same day, before securely returning the ECU back to you ready for tuning.

This new technology opens up tuning access to a much wider range of late-model vehicles and ECU generations that were previously locked down by the manufacturer.

📦 Postal ECU Unlock – MD1CS001

Another postal ECU job completed and turned around the same day.

This MD1CS001 ECU was sent in to us for unlocking. Using the Magic Motorsport Bootglitch solution, we were able to unlock the ECU in-house and have it packaged up and posted straight back to the customer the very same day.

No need to send the vehicle — simply remove the ECU, post it to us and we’ll take care of the rest.

We offer postal unlocking services for a growing range of modern Bosch ECUs, with fast turnaround times to keep downtime to a minimum.

🔥 2008 Audi A4 2.0 TDI 🔥

This Audi A4 came into the workshop for one of our Street Stage 1 custom calibrations.

Equipped with the reliable Bosch EDC17CP14 ECU, we carried out our usual health checks before developing a custom calibration to suit the vehicle.

📈 Before:
⚙️ 141hp
⚙️ 320Nm

📈 After:
🔥 185hp
🔥 400Nm

That's a significant increase in both power and torque, giving the car much stronger mid-range performance, smoother power delivery and a far more enjoyable driving experience.

🔓 Another Boot Glitch Unlock Completed 🔓

This time it was a 2021 BMW X3 M40i, equipped with the Bosch MG1CS024 ECU.

Using the latest Boot Glitch protocol, we successfully unlocked the ECU in-house, allowing it to be programmed and custom tuned.
