Did someone say first time pass?! 💥That’s right, Dan did a fab job today of passing his practical driving test on his first attempt with just a handful of driver faults recorded.

A huge achievement for Dan who has already got his own car ready and waiting for him. I know for him that this has felt like a long time coming, but today was the day the magic happened.

On a personal note, this was that extra bit special as Dan is my daughters boyfriend- so no more passenger princess for you Dan😜👸

Congratulations, amazing job. Stay safe and I’ll see you out on the roads🥰

So, something amazing happened on Monday- Ivy passed her driving test on her first attempt IN EXETER!!

Ivy has been having lessons in and around Newton Abbot with her test booked for early November. But she saw a cancellation in Exeter and decided to go for it in her own car. She passed with just 2 driver faults👏

This goes to show what real competent driving looks like- when ready for your test, you should be able to apply your skills on the road to anywhere, not just the areas you’ve practiced.

So a huge congratulations to you Ivy- you have done amazingly well and I’m so pleased you now hold your full licence. Makes life easier getting to work and college!🥰

Want to swap your driving test? Have someone to swap with? This is what you need to know…

DVSA-
We’re changing how learners can swap their driving tests

From 1 October, the process for how learner drivers can swap their driving test is changing.

The change will remove the need for learners to coordinate their availability and will make the process smoother and less stressful.

What's changing…

To request a swap, the first learner driver will still need to call DVSA. The second learner will then need to call DVSA on the same working day to confirm they're happy with the swap.

The DVSA can only process the swap if both learners call on the same working day.

Previously, both learners needed to be available at the same time to make the swap.

Important to note- please ensure your driving instructor is happy to make the change BEFORE you go ahead. You don’t want to end up with a test and no car 🚗

Two out of two yesterday! Congratulations Brooke- my second pass of the day.

A fantastic first time pass for a nervy Brooke- she has been putting the hours in with her Mum too and it clearly paid off.

Only a few driver faults including a little situation with a kerb😂but nothing the examiner couldn’t see past. A beautiful drive start to finish, so well done to you👏

Now the fun starts- more independence and car shopping for that beauty of an Audi A1!

Today, we have another new driver on the road! Congratulations goes to Austin👏

Austin has been getting lots of private practice in with his family, and is a very relaxed driver. And I’m pleased to say that he passed his test today, with just a handful of driver faults.

This will make life easier for Austin (and his Mum!) so he can get himself to work and college. Now go and turn up and surprise your mates🚗

So my second congratulations of the day goes to Austin who took his test today in his own car👏👏

So amazingly, Austin has only been 17 years old for 37 days!!!!🤯 He is quite clearly a natural driver. Austin has been the practicing a lot with his parents, and it shows- Austin only got 1 driver fault. Quite the achievement. 🥇

Well done Austin, never doubted you for a second. Dedicated and motivated all the way. Enjoy your freedom and I’ll see you around😊

Double congrats goes out today- 2 learners, same time tests, both awesome passes.

First congratulations goes to Charmaine👏Having the new examiner seemed to do you well, having a natter- what you do best😂 And to make this pass even better- Charmaine only got 1 driver fault. Can’t get much better than that!
