Vehicle came to us with the customer topping up the coolant and seeing coolant droplets on the floor.

Carried out coolant pressure testing of both coolant circuits. Intensive checks carried out even with endoscope camera to check underneath inlet manifold.

Engine cut out whilst on holiday 😔

As this car was making its way around Europe on a family holiday the worst happened. It suddenly just cut out, no warning, and unable to restart. They were recovered to there nearest dealership, where the car was just sat collecting dust for a little while, customer made contact with us on getting it repaired at OJE HQ.

Their mission was to get it back to UK and to a garage who would take on the work and get it running back to better than before and back on the road

Vehicle arrived after being with various oversea recovery teams which took nearly 2 months to arrive.

Initial assessment was made, and then engine was removed. Stripped of all damaged areas with vital components checked for serviceability and to be replaced where needed.

Engine Mount Replacement 🔧

Vehicle came in to us for a routine service a little while back and noted that main engine mount and lower engine mount had failed.

Normally due to top engine mount failure the engine runs at a larger angle putting extra stress into the lower mount pulling the bush out the housing and rubbing against the sump and in some cases all the way through. This is becoming a common issue with the Mini/Bmw’s who share the same FWD platform.
