Welcome to the very first edition of the Taunton Racecourse Hall of Fame! 🏆 Over the next few weeks, we’ll be looking back at some of the legendary horses who graced our track before going on to conquer the racing world.
To kick things off, who else but the spectacular grey, Rooster Booster? 🤍
Long before his iconic 11-length victory in the 2003 Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, this fan-favourite secured his very first career win right here at Taunton in a maiden hurdle back in January 2000. He went on to become one of the most recognizable and loved horses of his era, carrying Terry Warner's famous yellow and black silks to glory.
