What better way to end the week than by handing over a brand-new MAN tractor unit to A&C Aggregates, based in Narbeth! 🚛

As a family-run business and with this being the first MAN Truck to join their fleet, it’s a fantastic new addition — and one we’re very proud to have been a part of.

The truck was prepared by our Swansea team, before being delivered and handed over by our Tenby Manager, Sarah, alongside MAN Salesman Thomas Carter.
And if you look closely, you may notice a very special name on the front of the truck… Lily May 💕

Lily has certainly made an appearance at this handover, and with her name proudly displayed on the truck, we thought she had to be there for the big moment!
Our technician Tomos Evans and his gorgeous wife Rachel are the proud parents of Lily, and they were delighted to be part of this special handover to their family member, Ian.
We love seeing families involved in moments like this, especially as we’re a family-run business ourselves. It makes handovers like this even more special.

WG Davies is proud to be supporting the Paddle-Peak-Pedal Challenge, an extraordinary 12-day endurance adventure raising awareness and vital funds for Prostate Cymru and the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

Today, a team of ten friends led by Welsh rugby player Paul Thorburn have taken on a unique challenge combining kayaking, mountain climbing and cycling across Wales. Thorburn, who earned 37 international caps for Wales between 1985 and 1991 and is renowned for his famous 70-yard penalty kick for Wales, will lead the group on their remarkable journey.

The Challenge
The Paddle-Peak-Pedal Challenge will see participants:

Kayak approximately 200 miles along the Welsh coastline from Mumbles, Swansea, to the Menai Strait near Anglesey over eight days
Climb Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Wales’ highest mountain
Cycle approximately 180 miles over three days back to Swansea, covering around 60 miles per day.

As one of the challenge’s key logistical partners, WG Davies is providing essential transport support throughout the event. Specifically we are transporting the team’s bicycles from Swansea to North Wales ahead of the cycling stage and assisting with the return transportation of sea kayaks from North Wales back to Swansea.

Paul said: “Challenges like Paddle-Peak-Pedal rely on much more than just the efforts of the participants. The logistical support provided by WG Davies is invaluable, it allows us to focus on the challenge itself and, most importantly, on raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cymru and the MND Association.”

We would like to wish Paul and his team the best of luck and we will be sharing updates of their progress.

15 YEARS OF DEDICATION 🎉

We’re ending both the week and month on a fantastic high here at Swansea as we celebrate a very special milestone for our Service Manager, Paul Scott.

Paul began his journey with us as a Workshop Technician before progressing to Shift Supervisor. Most recently, he took on his biggest challenge yet by stepping into the role of Service Manager. When the opportunity arose in December 2025, we couldn’t have thought of a more deserving person to lead our service department.

Our Depot Manager, Rachel Davies, shared a few words about working alongside Paul:

“Paul and I have worked together for years, but now we truly work as a team. When I stepped into my role as Depot Manager, choosing my replacement in the service department was an easy decision. Paul is always looking out for others, the company, and the workshop. Not to forget his knowledge with commercial vehicles, which is unmatched. He is a fantastic support to me and our team, and it is a pleasure to work alongside him. Trust is everything in this industry, and knowing I can rely on Paul means so much. He has settled into his new role as though he has been doing it his entire career. I’m thrilled to be celebrating this incredible milestone with him and look forward to seeing everything the future holds for him at WG Davies.”

Paul, thank you for your unwavering loyalty, hard work and dedication over the last 15 years. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of the WG Davies team.

Our team had a fantastic time at the Celtic Truck Show in Carmarthen this weekend. ☀️

It was great to catch up with new, existing and long-standing customers, as well as many friends from across the industry. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand and say hello. 👋

A huge thank you to our valued customers for allowing us to showcase their trucks on our stand. This was just a small selection highlighting the quality and versatility of the MAN truck & van range that we offer.

Congratulations to Evans Brothers on winning the Best MAN Truck award at the show! 🏆 Having only taken delivery of this vehicle last week, it’s already making quite an impression. 🤩
