Stanford Coachworks, founded in 1995, are based in Essex with a national distribution network. It's a Stanfords Minibus.

We specialise in wheelchair accessible vehicle conversions and supply an average of 350 minibuses each year to a variety of clients. Complete vehicle conversion through planning and design to install and certification. All vehicles are managed with stringent procurement and supply chain procedures, safety and legal inspections, premium and comfort technology, disability, and superior equipment and finishing.

We are honoured to once again work with our returning clients, a leading British automotive manufacturer, to supply two new premium minibuses for their factory 🚐

These two new Mercedes Sprinters are based on the L3H2 model and feature 16 premium passenger seats plus driver. They have been designed specially to transport guests around their impressive factory which centres on vehicle design ✨

We have worked proudly with The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability since 2010 and last week we had the pleasure of delivering their latest vehicle - a new Renault Trafic PTS ambulance 🚑

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability provides specialist rehabilitation and long-term care for people with complex neurological conditions. Their accessible vehicles are essential in supporting patients with everyday travel and independence.

Their latest vehicle can facilitate up to four passengers plus driver and features an internal Ricon tail lift to support a single wheelchair user. Inside, it follows the Royal Hospital's well-trusted design with patterned moquette seating, overhead storage lockers, oxygen bottle storage points and 240-volt sockets for essential medical equipment.

Our relationship with Band Van Hire spans over seven years, beginning with their first conversion back in 2019. Since then, we've created 12 bespoke vehicles for their expanding fleet - from Premium and Jet Splitters to ultra-luxury Artist Edition Monaco Tour Buses ✨

We're pleased to deliver another specialist accessible Mercedes Sprinter conversion for one of our long-standing Scottish local authority customers 🚐

Built on the Mercedes Sprinter L4H2, this latest vehicle features our specialist SCW Flat Floor, designed to eliminate all wheel arch intrusions, creating additional seating and wheelchair space in the rear saloon.

Our relationship with this customer began in 2015 and since then we've proudly converted almost 20 vehicles to support their growing community transport needs. This newest conversion will play an important role across the region - supporting home-to-school transport for pupils with additional support needs, as well as providing a door-to-door accessible bus service for residents aged 65 and over.

This week marked the delivery of the first of four brand new Mercedes Sprinters to a dial a ride service providing flexible community transport across Kent 🚐

The community transport group supports residents throughout the county, collecting passengers from their homes and taking them to key destinations including supermarkets, town centres, hospitals and more.

To ensure every journey is accessible, the fleet is fully wheelchair friendly, with each vehicle featuring a rear underfloor tail lift. All four Sprinters can carry up to 16 passengers plus driver, or 5 wheelchair users with seats removed, and are equipped with a large automatic step at the side load door, full Eberspaecher heating and air conditioning, overhead storage lockers and stop bells 🔔

Membership is free for residents who have a medical condition that makes standard public transport difficult, those living more than 500m from a bus or rail route, and anyone aged 85 or over. We’re delighted to be the chosen converter for this project, and we look forward to delivering the next three vehicles in the fleet very soon 😊

We are pleased to introduce our latest tour bus conversions for one of our long-term customers, Civilised Car Hire London 🚐🎬🎶

Civilised’s new Volkswagen Crafter LL9s form a six‑vehicle fleet with two specialised layouts. Four tour buses feature the original 9‑seat design with a spacious rear equipment storage area, while two special‑edition LL9 Production models include a full rear makeup and dressing space for on‑the‑go use. All vehicles include a half-height bulkhead and overhead television with Apple TV, Bluetooth soundbar and on-board WiFi as standard.

IBEX Touring return for multiple new SCW tour buses! 🚐 🎶

We’re pleased to welcome Ibex Touring — formerly Far Beyond Driven — back to SCW this year for three brand‑new tour buses, with the first delivered last week.

With over 15 years’ experience and collaborations across a wide range of artists, Ibex Touring have become a trusted partner for smooth, reliable and complex touring. Since 2021, we’ve proudly supplied them with six bespoke Sprinter tour buses, supporting their continued growth across the industry.

Their latest L2H2 build features a split rear‑saloon layout, a premium passenger cabin, and a dedicated equipment storage area. Inside, the vehicle seats up to eight passengers plus driver and includes vegan leather seating, a television with Apple TV, and a Bluetooth soundbar for comfort on the road.

We’re excited to begin work on the next two vehicles very soon.
