Oulton Park adventures…

A cracking photo from that just about sums up the trip for us!

A third overall in the Trackday Trophy celebration race cheered us up a bit in the end!

All set for our first foray into the series here at Donington Park.

It’s a welcome return to Endurance racing for us, albeit in a car we know absolutely nothing about! A few testing laps on Friday and straight into qualifying this morning.

Massive thanks to the legends at and for the help so far, five hours to go this afternoon lads!😘

A throwback to some great times with this bunch, raising money for . From Paris in 2022 to Amsterdam last year, with a few local bits in between, it’s been a blast each time.

We are back out this Sunday coming for this year’s Cheshire Loop Sportive. 100 miles through the Cheshire landscape, what’s not to like…

It’s Brands Hatch GP for us next week for the 3rd round of the 2025 Miata Trophy. After a couple of good hidings from the sharpshooters at .motorsport it’s about time to up our game!

Instead, we’ve drafted in our favourite Wool to turn it up to 11. Last time out we sent him on old rubber we borrowed from Ben Hur, and our ears are still bleeding from the tantrum so this time we’d best make a bit more effort and see if we can get ourselves into the chocolates.

Hold onto your hats!

A shout out today to Rich and the gang at for their consistently brilliant service.

I emailed Rich at ten to four yesterday afternoon to see if he had a clutch in stock. I got a reply and quote at 16.30, and it arrived here at 9.30 this morning.

I’ve been getting parts from them for a few years now, and they never disappoint. Not only is their service top drawer, but as racers themselves they keep all the bits that we keep breaking! Cheers lads!

On the plus side, we did finally manage a couple of decent team photos to start the year. Despite the setbacks we’d been battling through, our chief hype man managed to get us all in the same place and our good friend Nina got a few shots for us.

A tough couple of days for our little mob at the opener this weekend. Continuing electronic gremlins had the #7 in and out of the awning all day on Friday, and eventually led to a broken gearbox trying to drive round the problem.

JL in the #1 had a better time on Friday and Saturday morning, but fell foul of an unfortunate error from a fellow racer on Saturday afternoon that had him also retire from the second race of the day.

Fortunately our man Jay in the #444 had some more joy and bought home two good finishes, despite a couple of minor tweaks to his new motor.

Today has been busy as we’ve only got two weeks until we are out at Silverstone, so the gearbox and differential are rebuilt already, and parts on the way to finally put the engine gremlins to the sword (hopefully!).

With the curtain raiser fast approaching this weekend, it’s time to confirm our line-up for the 2025 season.

First up of course is our reigning Champion, John Langridge. Returning to the Championship for 2025, our second favourite ginger will be going all out to defend his title against some serious competition.

Next up is the young pretender, Jay Coombs, mounting a full season challenge after a couple of guest outings over the last couple of seasons. A multiple Class winner in Trackday Trophy, Jay is looking forward to the challenge of single make racing, and will be looking to challenge the front runners right from the off.

Definitely last up is Alex himself, having another crack it at after coming second in 2023 and third in 2024.

We’ve spent the winter servicing and fettling to make sure the cars are in top order, re-negotiating contract terms with all our best spanner monkeys, and getting everything set up and prepared so we are finally there, Race Week!

Differential rebuild today. This one has got a little hot, and made a mess of the pinion and crown wheels. Fortunately the L*D itself has survived, so a couple of new bearings and spare wheels and she’ll be r**t!
