π Is it really worth speeding in a 30mph zone? π
A simple example:
On a road thatβs just ΒΌ of a mile long, a car travelling at 30mph will take 30 seconds to reach the end.
A car travelling at 34mph will take about 26.5 seconds.
The difference? Just 3Β½ seconds.
For those few seconds, you increase your stopping distance, reduce the time available to react to hazards, and risk speeding penalties.
Speed limits are there for a reason, especially in built-up areas where pedestrians, cyclists and other road users may be present.
The next time youβre tempted to creep over the limit, ask yourself:
βIs arriving 3Β½ seconds earlier really worth it?β
