Another Jaguar F-Type V6 in the workshop, this time for a supercharger replacement. 💨🔥

The supercharger forces more air into the engine than it could draw in naturally - more air allows the engine to burn more fuel, producing significantly more power and torque. It’s a key part of what gives the V6 its instant throttle response and exhilarating performance.

When the supercharger develops a fault, you can experience loss of power, unusual noises, poor performance or warning lights, so getting it diagnosed and repaired correctly is essential.

One of this week’s jobs at RDrive 💡

This Land Rover Defender came in with an inoperative nearside headlamp, so we stripped the front end back, replaced the unit and put everything back together.

These mid-repair photos show just how much has to come apart to access the headlamp properly - not always as straightforward as it looks!

Another job completed and this Defender 110 is now ready to get back on the road.

The Tonibell ice cream van dropped by while its owner's Range Rover Sport was in with us for some diagnostics. It was a lovely surprise for the team, who all enjoyed some ice cream!

This week we got down to the bare bones of a Land Rover Discovery Sport ❄️🚗

Our customer noticed that the air conditioning wasn't getting as cold as it should, so after an in-depth diagnostic, we carried out an evaporator replacement, involving a substantial amount of dashboard removal.

After a few hours of stripping down, replacing the unit and putting everything back together, this car is all ready to go with the A/C working as it should.

We spend most of our time working on cars, so it was only right we took them to the track... sort of. 🏎️⚡

Last Friday, the team headed to BattleKart Sittingbourne for an evening of electric go-karting. There was plenty of competitive spirit, a few questionable racing lines, and a lot of laughs.

Safe to say we'll leave the racing to the pros and stick to what we do best! 🔧
