Another busy week at JB Automotive Ltd, working on everything from prestige supercars to high-performance daily drivers.

🔧 Recent work in the workshop:

• Porsche 911 50th Anniversary – PADM engine mount replacement.
• Porsche 992 – full service completed and the digital service history updated via the Porsche Partner Network.
• Porsche 997 – engine removed for coolant pipe replacement, a major repair requiring specialist knowledge and manufacturer-level tooling.
• Porsche Cayenne Turbo – diagnosed and replaced a failed water pump.
• Porsche 991 Turbo S – comprehensive fault diagnosis using PIWIS 4. We quickly identified a failed turbo actuator, an active front splitter fault, a leaking drive belt tensioner and a coolant leak, allowing us to put together an accurate repair plan.
• McLaren 570S – manufacturer-specification service completed using genuine parts.
• Ferrari 812s – servicing and suspension repairs.
• Aston Martin DBX – full service completed using genuine manufacturer parts.
• Volkswagen Golf R Mk8 – component protection removal and multiple software updates carried out using dealer-level diagnostic equipment.
• Range Rover SVR – manufacturer-specification service completed with the digital service record updated.
• Lamborghini Huracán – front axle lift system fault diagnosed and rectified.
• Volkswagen Golf Mk5 R32 – supplied and fitted with a Milltek 🇬🇧 V2 sports exhaust system.

It’s been another busy week in the workshop, with everything from routine servicing and digital service record updates to complex engine-out repairs, advanced diagnostics and performance upgrades.

Our continued investment in manufacturer-specific tooling, dealer-level diagnostics and ongoing technical training allows us to maintain, diagnose and repair some of the world’s most prestigious performance vehicles to the highest standards.

📢 Labour Rate Update – Effective 1st April 2026

At JB Automotive, we’re committed to providing high-quality servicing and repairs for sports and prestige vehicles.

From 1st April 2026, our labour rate will increase from £85 + VAT per hour to £105 + VAT per hour.

Any bookings already confirmed for dates after 1st April, will be honoured at the current rate.

This change allows us to continue investing in the tools, training, and workshop standards needed to properly care for the vehicles we work on.

With work continuing to come in thick and fast, here are just a few of the jobs that have come through the door recently — at least the ones I remembered to get a picture of 🤦‍♂️

Lamborghini Gallardo
Recovered as a non-start. After finding blown fuses and burnt-out relays, further tests confirmed a faulty engine ECU. Warranty claim handled from start to finish, approved, parts sourced, and the vehicle repaired and returned to the customer.

Bentley Continental GT
Came in with serious running issues. Diagnosis revealed a failed turbocharger and oil separator unit. Turbos rebuilt by , oil feed updated, major service carried out, and rear brakes replaced. Now running perfectly.

McLaren 600LT
Pre-purchase inspection completed — a stunning car with a clean bill of health and one very happy new owner.

VW Transporter T6
Timing belt, oil pump belt and water pump replaced, plus a full service using genuine parts.

Lamborghini Urus
Hydraulic suspension bushes replaced and full 4-wheel alignment to manufacturer specifications.

Audi R8
In for a full vehicle health check — booked in for the new year for the recommended work.

Porsche GT3 RS
Oil service completed using genuine Porsche parts.

🛞 Porsche 991 GT3 — in with us for centre-lock wheel nut replacement and a full health check.

🧰 Audi RS6 — PCV system replaced and running like new again.

⚙️ Maserati Levante — Full engine replacement completed.

⚡ Audi R8 — spark plugs replaced and digital service record updated.

🛢️ Land Rover Defender — serviced to manufacturer specifications, including full digital history update.

🏎️ McLarens — plenty of them coming through the doors lately for everything from general servicing and air con faults to major engine work.

💨 Bentley Continental GT — in for turbocharger and PCV replacement.

💦 And finally… coolant leaks! We’ve repaired more in the last couple of months than ever before — from VAG 3.0 TDI engines found in the Audi A7 and Porsche Cayenne, to Macan Turbo coolant pipes and Range Rover V8 EGR coolers. We’ve definitely gone through our share of antifreeze lately!
