This Vauxhall Astra 1.0 Turbo came into the workshop today for a routine service and vehicle health inspection.

As part of the service, we replaced the engine oil and filter and carried out a comprehensive inspection to ensure everything was in good working order and safe for the road.

🔧 Range Rover Evoque in the workshop!

This vehicle came in with a complaint of grabbing and juddering when turning, along with the ABS warning light illuminated on the dashboard.

After carrying out a full diagnostic inspection, we identified a failed Haldex unit, which is a common issue we see on these vehicles. The faulty Haldex system was causing the drivetrain issues when manoeuvring at low speeds.

We also found a faulty rear wheel speed sensor, which was responsible for triggering the ABS warning light.

✅ New Haldex unit fitted
✅ Rear wheel speed sensor replaced
✅ Faults cleared and road tested
✅ Vehicle now driving exactly as it should

Dacia Sandero in the Workshop 🔧

This Dacia Sandero came into the workshop requiring an engine replacement after the timing chain failed. Unfortunately, the chain gave way while the engine was running, causing the valves to collide with the pistons and resulting in extensive internal engine damage.

A replacement engine was sourced, fitted with a brand-new timing chain kit before installation, and then carefully installed back into the vehicle.

After thorough checks and testing, the Sandero is now running perfectly and ready to be returned to its owner. Another major repair completed and another customer back on the road. 🚗✅

This Vauxhall Mokka was squeezed into the workshop today, with the lads starting at 6am to get the job done and keep the customer on the road.

The vehicle came in suffering from severe vibration, which was quickly traced to a failed dual-mass flywheel. We carried out a full clutch and flywheel replacement, restoring smooth operation and eliminating the vibration issues.

Another job completed and another satisfied customer back on the road. 🚗✅

🔧 Vauxhall Vivaro in the workshop after being recovered to us as a non-runner.

After carrying out our diagnostics, we found the engine wasn’t receiving any fuel. Further investigation revealed a split in the fuel primer bulb, allowing air to be drawn into the fuel system and preventing the vehicle from starting.

A new primer bulb was fitted, the fuel system was primed, and the van fired up straight away. ✅

This is a very common issue on these vehicles and one that’s often overlooked. If you’re experiencing starting issues or fuel-related faults, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
