A quick rundown on Festival Italia a couple of weeks ago...not quite the relaxed weekend we expected, as during the test on the Thursday with Jake Hill we experienced a slight Power Steering leak which had to be addressed before race day. After that was done the 355 failed its noise test at Scrutineering so th exhaust system had to be removed and repacked which caused us to be late for the Grid Walk at Lunchtime.
Ready for the race though we had qualified 3rd on the grid but after 6 laps the Drivebelt failed which caused the engine to overheat so Colin retired.
A new Drivebelt was rapidly fitted for race 2 and the 355 reprepped as the turnaround between the two races was tight. A great race and no further issues resulted in the fastest lap of the race and a 3rd place finish.
We now have a 4 weekend gap before we head to Castle Combe for the final meeting of the Superformance Ferrari Club Classics.
